Is it possible to use a flash trigger (for off camera flashes) with the Nikon d3000?

I have a Nikon D3000 camera and want to use an off camera flash for some shots that I want to take. Does anyone know if the D3000 is compatible with this?

Nikon Camera Compatible with Final Cut Express 4?

Okay so i'll make this quick by asking, if a Nikon D5000 12.3 MP DX Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens and 2.7-inch Vari-angle LCD is compatible with using with Final Cut Express 4 aka Final Cut Express 4.0? On youtube I saw this guy who made these really cool music videos using that camera in some of his videos and using Final Cut Express, or Final Cut Pro. However he didn't specify in which Final Cut Express version he used, so I was just wondering if anyone knew if Final Cut Express 4 is compatible with that type of Nikon camera. Or maybe someone can tell me which version is compatible with that camera if it's not that version.
