Cannon 60d v nikon counterpart?
I'm looking at the cannon d60 (other choice was 600d) or the 7d but felt this too heavy.
What is the opinion… What are the nikon alternatives.
Would you go for Cannon or Nikon?
Added (1). Yes Canon… Typo
I haven't had hold of a Nikon. Have held the canon 600d, 60d and 7d. After using the 400d (broken, won't switch on), I found the weight of the 7d worrying. The lenses I already own are not is lenses.
I've had problems with low light situations, read the nikon is better in that respect.
I'd really like to get my new camera for my upcoming holiday so any help most welcome.
I like to take family pics at functions, have had problems with low light, and outdoor wildlife.

Is it easy to focus objects on a nikon 70-300 AF?
I'm planning to buy a Nikon 70-300 AF lens for the D40x. I heard it is difficult to focus manually using the lens. Can anyone who used the lens tell me how you feel?

Can I use a AFS-Nikkor 55-200mm lens on a Nikon F80?
I want to buy a film camera but I can't afford to buy the body AND a new lens. But I already have a Nikon D40, and I'm wondering if I can use the lenses I have for that with a film camera.
I have these lenses:
AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm zoom lens, and
AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm
and I want to use them with a Nikon F80.

Nikon D3000 - Canon 1000D. Which to select?
Hi. I'm interested in buying one of these two DSLR's.
- Nikon D3000
- Canon 1000D
Which one should I buy and what?

Is my camera going to work with these lenses?
I have a Nikon D5000. I got it about a year and a half ago as my first DSLR. I really liked it, but now I'm wanting to upgrade my lenses and the more i read the more it seems that the professional quality lenses like f2.8 wide to telephoto or just telephoto zooms don't focus correctly with it.
I found with my 28-75 it keeps only focusing part of the image. Then i read that it is because of my camera type… Is there truth to this? I know it is an amateur camera and there are a couple things that bug me about it, but i thought i could at least keep using it until i got some paying customers!
Any helpful info is appreciated.
Added (1). Sorry, it is a tamron 28-75 f2.8
i know my camera does not have a af motor in it

There's a photo contest my daughter wants to enter, and in the instructions it states that only digital files will be accepted. What exactly is a digital file and how would I (I will be the one sending this off for her) make a picture into a digital file to send. Would that be like a regular attachment to their form… I have no knowledge of computer files or imagery so please tell me in layman's terms so I can understand. She has use of a Nikon D80 camera if that makes any difference.

Which lens to buy for my Nikon D90?
I take pictures of pretty much everything from senior pictures, to travel photos, etc. My current set up is a Nikon D90 with a Tamron 18-200mm lens. My next lens I plan on spending a little more money. They two lenses I'm stuck between are the Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 and the 24-70mm 2.8
Any advice would be great
