What camera is right for me? - 1

I'm into photography, i'm 13, i currently have a panasonic lumix dmc-fs33, i have been looking at cameras like the nikon d40 x, but i can't find one for a decent price, i have been searching on ebay, so if anyone knows of good cheap cameras.

In order to choose the right camera--one with the right set of features at the right price--you'll need to figure out what you'll be doing with it. Upgrading to a DSLR like the Nikon D5100 would be suitable… Get a decent lens for it too.

The D3100 is one of the very first DSLRS to have auto-focus continuously in video mode and the AF-F works quite well and it got some neat feature like face detection all though it lill bit slower times to focus, also the auto focus sound of the lens can be pick in the audio track and you can't plug in and external mic. Well feel that the video mode of this camera is little mediocre but then its targeted to beginners and entry level people as what beginners will mess about the external mics and manual focusing and video mode anyway this is meant for the consumer who wants get in to the DSLR photography the AF-F is good enough for a beginner to learn basics of shooting video with a DSLR.
