What would be the best settings for taking pictures in Boston?
This thursday I'm taking a trip to Boston, MA and would like to know what would be the best settings for my dSLR. I shoot with a nikon d3100 with a nikkor 55-200mm lens and a 18-55mm lens, no other attachments, what shutter speed and f stop should I do during the day in the city, generally speaking, to get cool temperature, artsy shots? And at night? I'm bringing a tripod? What settings then?

Tips on recording live music, please?
I own a NIkon D5000 and would like to start filming live bands, and while the video quality is radical the sound is awful. I was wondering since the Nikon D5000 has no input for a mic what you guys would suggest me using to record the sound?

Will a Kingstion 16GB Class 10 SDHC memoery card work with a Nikon D90 camera?
The manual for the Nikon D90 states that Sandisk up to 8GB, Panasonic up to 32GB and Toshiba up to 32GB, and some other Lexar cards all work with the camera. That's the whole list though, and it says any other cards have not been tested.
So, does anyone know if a Kingston Class 10 16GB card will work properly with the D90 please?

Which lens to use with mny nikon d3100 for night sky photography? - 1
Hi, i have recently purchased a nikon d3100 with a nikon DX AF-S nikkor 18-55mm VR lens which i'm very happy with. I'm at the stage where i would love to start shooting the sky at night, stars and moon.
my question is would i benefit form purchasing a different lens or a conversion lens and if so which lens would you recommend. Also what would be a good setting to have my camera on with my current lens.

Are any of these lenses/accessories compatible with the Nikon d3100 camera?
I found these on a website and was wondering if these worked with my D3100:
Argus light exposure unit
ProSpec Zoom lens f=7 55mm.
Telesar Auto Telephoto 1:2.8 f=135mm 18 -55
Vivitar 50mm 1:1.4 Auto 49mm UMC.
This was pretty much all the info the seller gave and I have tried my best to research it online but as a beginner photographer, I ended up with a lot of confusing information and thought I would ask for some help here.
