I'm looking to buy a camera but am very uneducated about cameras and photography. I like the photos that have a light tint and look hipster, and also like when the cameras have a good focus. I was looking at Nikons and Canons, specifically the Nikon d40x. Should maybe I also purchase specific lense? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Is nikon d3100 good in lowlight conditions?
Like night shots, dim lit indoor locations? I'm trying to start a photography business and need a camera that will work well for weddings and such.

Things to take photos of at home?
I love taking pictures and I live in a little village and I'm on school holidays, I board so all my friends live far away and i don't have many local people anyway, I have just got a Nikon d3100 for christmas- which is amazing! But the only thing i really take pictures of is my dog and my ponies and i'm not really sure what else to take pictures of as I don't really have any people I can take pictures of, so any suggestions would be fab x

I've studied photography for a long time with everyday work and kids i just lost track of time and now i want to explore my passion once again. But i'm confused which camera to choose from? As i'm not interested in the HD feature (movie option) i'm more interested in stills, landscapes, and night scenes! Canon 60D, Canon Eos 550D, Nikon D7000 please suggest. Yes i know all three of them have movie option but do suggest if you know a better choice. Budget is not an issue so far…

Is the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 a good lens?
I have a 50mm f/1.8 on my D5100, but I feel like it's just a little bit too "zoomed in," and I was thinking about selling it and using the money for a 35mm f/1.8. Minus the focal length of the two, is there any significant difference between both lenses, and is it worth it to sell my 50mm for the 35mm? Do the two lenses offer similar sharpness, or is one better than the other?

Dslr or compact system camera?
I'm interested in upgrading my compact long zoom camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ38/35).
So I'm between nikon d3100 kit and Panasonic Lumix G3. I like photographing a lot especially while on trip but also in birthdays, in nature and at night.
I have lots of reviews about both cameras but I still need an opinion as both cameras can change lens etc. Ok of course a DSLR is more flexible that a CSC but on the other hand CSC cameras are smaller with equal picture quality. I have found an internet store with good prices (www.simplyelectronics.net) and both cost 500 euros or so.
Any suggestions? Not only for these specific cameras but generally.

What's the difference between 2 nikon shutter release cables?
I'm going to buy one for my Nikon D3100 so it has to be compatible. What is the difference between the Nikon mc-dc1 and mc-dc2 remote release cord?

My dslr camera focus doesn't work?
I bought my dslr camera, specifically a nikon d3100. The focus doesn't work anymore for some reason. I bought it from bestbuy. What should I do with it? Can bestbuy give a new one?
Added (1). It fell a couple of days back.

Choosing lenses for Nikon D90?

Does Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens offer better quality than 18-105mm?
I own a Nikon D90 and I already have the 18-105mm lens, i found a good offer for a 55-200mm vr lens so i just wanted to know if it offers better resolution/quality/sharpness than the 18-105mm
I read many reviews saying that it's a magnificent lens
