Which dslr is better for me? - 1

I've been thinking about getting a dslr recently, and have been tossing up between the Nikon D3200 and the canon EOS 600D. I shoot a loot of video, which is why I'm more moving towards the EOS, however, I'd like a second opinion

Is Nikon D7000 the new D90?

I've heard that Nikon D7000 is the "upgrade" to the D90. However, i still see lots of editorial work done by the D90. And the editorial work I see for the D7000 just doesn't compare to the images of the D90. What's going on? Are people simply refusing to trade in their D90 or is the D7000, in fact, NOT a better version of the D90?

Added (1). I purchased the D7000 and am wondering if I should have saved a few bucks and went with the D90 instead? If there isn't much difference.

Will a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S fit my Nikon D3200?

I just bought my Nikon D3200 and i don't really like the 18-55mm kit lens, so I want to buy a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S. But since I'm just a beginner in dslr photography and I don't know these things, I'm worried will the 50mm fit my D3200?

Silent focus on Nikon d5100?

I have a Nikon d5100 and use it for movies- when I'm using the AF-S 18-55mm lens the noise It makes when in auto focus mode is quite loud. Is there any way of getting the focus to be silent? Weather it's a setting or a new lens? (I'm in no way a professional photographer so apologies if this doesn't really make much sense! If you could tell me a setting or lens or whatever I would be very grateful!)

How to set wide aperture?

I have a Nikon d5100.
I want to shoot with the sun behind my subject (hitting my camera) in the golden hour. I read that I need to set wide aperture, how can I do that?
Please don't say "go read your manual" because my manual is in a language I'm not fluent with.

Nikon Camera Recommendation?

Hi, I own a Nikon D3100 and have used if for a few years. I have about 4 lenses for it and I use it quite a bit. Photography is a passion of mine, but I would like to upgrade my setup to a high end camera below $1000. I only have $740 (I'm 14), but I'm saving for a camera. I love my D3100, but it's for beginners (it was my first DSLR) and I need an intermediate-advanced level camera. *A camera that has great quality photos.* I'm a natural photographer and I know how to take photos very well. I just need a sharp, crisp, clean, bold image. If anyone can help that'd be amazing. I will add more for additional details to your answers!

Added (1). AWBoater, I agree with you, but I have all Nikon Nikkor lenses. 35mm, 50-200mm, 18-55mm etc. Thanks everybody for the tips, but I think I'll stick with my camera for now and see if there's anyway I can up the quality. My only problem is a bit of blurriness and grain. I rarely use high ISO because of that. Thanks everybody! I will keep the Q open incase anybody wants to add to it.

Is it possible to take a picture with a bright background AND a bright subject?

I don't know if this is possible, but I'll try to explain my question as best as I can! I'm a somewhat new photographer and I've been looking through other photographers pictures (Mostly my cousin's stuff. She is very professional.) But I can't seem to figure out how she gets her pictures to look a certain way. Almost all of her pictures have very bright backgrounds, BUT, the person she is photographing has a clear sharp face that isn't darkened by the harsh light in the background.
She doesn't use any flash or reflectors so I'm kind of in a stump. I did think at one point that she just uses a editor to edit all of the brightness and such, and if that is the case, does anyone have any tips on doing that? I would love to hear them.
My second thought was just the camera she uses. I'm not quite sure what kind of camera she uses. All I know is that it was a very expensive camera and blows mine Way out of the water. Because I'm just starting off, I'm on my first entry level DSLR camera. I'm the Nikon D5100. Below is a link to a set of pictures that discribes what I'm talking about quite perfectly. If anyone has ANY tips, tricks, or advice, Please let me know!

Why does it take so long to store long exposure shots?

I've been taking night time pictures with slow shutter speeds like 2-3mins, why does it take so long to show up on the lcd display for preview? I have a nikon d3100, is it like this for all cameras?
