Where can I buy a Nikon D40X for less than $500?

I have about $600 saved up and i want to keep atleast $100 and I have really been wanting this camera… Help?

Why the D40X? Yes, its a good camera, but you could afford a (much newer) refurbished D3100 w/ an 18-55 kit lens.

You'll also need a case, a genuine Nikon spare battery, 2 or 3 8GB Class 10 SDHC cards and a few basic photography.
Are you sure you're ready for a DSLR, though?

A D3100 would be a better use of your money. If you want a D40X anyway, looking at Amazon, there are listings for used very good for less than $400. A sample that has been squirreled away unused will cost over $800.
