Will a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S fit my Nikon D3200?

I just bought my Nikon D3200 and i don't really like the 18-55mm kit lens, so I want to buy a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S. But since I'm just a beginner in dslr photography and I don't know these things, I'm worried will the 50mm fit my D3200?

Yes, any AF-S lens (as opposed to those that merely say AF) will work perfectly on your D3200.

Those that just say AF won't autofocus.

What exactly do you find lacking about your current lens? The 50mm/1.8 is a fine one, but it's a very specific type of lens. It doesn't zoom at all but offers a big maximum aperture, as well as superior image quality.

You don't like your 18-55?

In other words you're blaming your 18-55 for lousy pictures?

Keep your 18-55 and spend your time actually learning instead of spending your money on things you don't need.
