Where can i get my nikon camera repaired?
I recently broke the auto focus on my Nikon D3000 and I've been looking for places to get it repaired I just can't seem to find any. I live on Long Island and I'm hoping to find somewhere cheap and close!
Is it possible to have a external microphone if the camera doesn't have a mic input?
I have brought a Nikon D3100 mainly because so i can make good videos, but however there's no mic input and i was really down when i noticed this. But i came across this shotgun mic on amazon and it said its compatible with the Nikon D3100 but i'm not sure it is
please can you tell me if it can connect the the camera
if not then can you tell me a mic you can put on a DSLR camera without a mic input

How to make sure all functions work properly after buying a used/refurbished DSLR?
Hi, I will be receiving a used DSLR camera, (Nikon D5100), since I'm a beginner, I don't know anything. How can I know everything works exactly like new and that the images and all the functions are perfectly right?
Right now i only have the kit lens 18-55mm for the nikon d5100. I'd like to get a new lens for portraits and for indoors. Which one is the better option? The Nikon 35mm 1.8 or the 50mm 1.8
Cullmann Primax 190 tripod is good?
I want to buy Cullmann Primax 190 tripod, but i don't know if it is good or not? I have Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm and 55-300 mm lenses, is this tripod good for my camera? Any idea?

I just bought a nikon d3100 off ebay, it was off a seller with little feedback so i was kind of worried but i was reasurred if anything goes wrong i can have a refund within 45 days from paypal.
So he listed it as 'BRAND NEW' first of all it isn't, some of the packets were open. I'm charging the battery now so i can see the shutter count. If its not 0 i'm going to ask for a partial refund. (As if itsnt new!)
But on the warranty it says 'printed in thailand' & it is also made in thailand… They probably all are from thailand but i just wanted to make sure.
Is there anyway i can check its a proper nikon?

Added (1). I paid a fair price for it yeah. Its £300 brand new on amazon, i payed about £275…
I also just checked the shutter count and it has just over 2000… Is that normal?

I have a Nikon 50mm 1.4G lens on a D7000 body. The aperture slide on the the lens itself is locked halfway. I'm afraid to touch it, what do I do?
I'm unable to set up apertures, even though the camera says f/1.4.
The aperture itself is closed all the way, like when you take the lens off the camera.
Please help me.
Added (1). Yes, I do know how to use manual mode, set White Balance, and all other relevant material.
What I'm saying is that the aperture lever on the lens itself is stuck.
