Your advice on black friday purchase?

I've been interested in purchasing the nikon d5100 camera for a while now but have been waiting for a good deal. Currently, it's listed 30% off ($200 off) on amazon.com. I haven't ever gone black friday shopping before, so I'm not familiar with how much I could be saving. Do you think I should make the purchase from amazon now or wait til black friday? Will the savings be greater on black friday?

Nikon DSLRs vs Nikon 1?

I was going to upgrade my 12 megapixel simple sony point and shoot to a Nikon DSLR, but I also found the Nikon 1. I love the Nikon 1's design and how it's smaller and more user friendly, but I know it's a hybrid and not a DSLR. However, I would get the Nikon 1, but it's actually more money than the DSLRs I was interested in, for less megapixels! I know that supposedly megapixels don't matter that much, but I shouldn't downgrade from 12 to 10 megapixels for such a high price, right? Unless the details and clarity and picture quality really are better, what do you guys think? Also, I was thinking of getting a Nikon DSLR, because I'm very interested in photography even though I've never used more than a point and shoot I'm up for the challenge. Which do you think is best, the D3100, D3200, or D5100? I know out of those 3 the D3100 is the worst and although the D3200 has 8 more megapixels, it's supposedly not that much better than the D5100? Anyway, keep in mind I would buy these through Amazon where the D3200 and D5100 are both $596 with the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR NIKKOR Zoom Lens included. How is this lens as a starter lens? Is it like where you turn it manually to focus? I would like that. I would want to take pictures with/of my friends at parties or outside, so a "fast" lens would be good for that. Also, I would like to zoom and take wide landscapes. But, I can always get new lenses later. Which camera would be the best for pictures with friends and family, vacations, the ones that have the most effects, etc? Also, I heard about those lensbaby lenses, would those be compatible with those cameras? Please try answering any/all of these questions. I'm probably asking for the D3200 or D5100 and would like clarification on if the lens included will suit my needs.

How to get my camera D5100 to detect a lens?

I have a D5100 but am finding it tricky to buy a lens for a reasonable price. So I bought the following:

SIGMA MINI-WIDE11 1:2.8 28MM LENS (with an M42 screw mount)

and

M42 screw mount lens to Nikon F mount adapter.

It all connects together but the camera doesn't detect the lens. Is there a way to get my camera to detect the lens?

Lenses on Nikon D3100?

So I think I'm asking for a Nikon D3100 as my first DSLR and it says it comes with a "18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens", but I'm so confused by all of the lenses available, which are compatible, and what's so special about some of them. Is that lens okay for many things? What do all of the details mean? Is it good for landscapes, people, night and day, macro shots, action shots, etc? If not, which lens should I get? What about filters? Can I put those on top of any lens? What "size" should the filters be? What are affordable lenses that are functional and fun? As many details as possible, please.

Added (1). I specifically want a fast (i don't know the technical terms) lens that has background defocus and options for manual or autofocus. Also one that I can apply effects to and one that's fast and good for taking many pictures in a row at parties and with friends or of landscapes or architecture. Also, how can I apply "bokeh" to my pictures? FINALLY, I know I said I've set my mind on this camera, but is this a good quality easy to use entry level DSLR for a 13 year old? From what I've gathered, it is, but I'm open to other options.

How to take better pictures?

I love taking pictures of animals, nature, city, flowers, and just about anything but, it seems like I'm not any good. I'd like to be able to take really good "natural" pictures like profesional photographers. Any advice? Here's some of my shots…

Nikon D40 lens having trouble focusing?

My Nikon D40 camera has been having trouble focusing. I use the Auto-focus option, and sometimes it doesn't focus, and makes this, clicking sound. It sometimes even says that the lense is not attatched. So I reattatch it and it works(sometimes). Does the interior just need to be cleaned or is it time for a new lense?

Telephoto or macro lens?

I'm looking to buy my first DSLR soon, and that's gonna be Nikon D5100 I'll buy it with 18-55mm kit lens, as for extra, I'm considering Nikkor 35mm f1.8 G. I want one more but really cheap lens too, Like under 150 USD, please suggest some Telephoto or Macro lens to do with D5100.
