How come I can't get sharp images with my nikon 50mm f1.8G?
I have a NIKON D7000 and a 50mm f1.8G lens. And I'm not getting the results that I was hoping to get from this lens. My images are almost never Sharp at f2.8. I never shoot at f1.8 anymore cause its too difficult to get focus.
I shoot on auto 39 AF most of the time. And I try single point AF and it gets even worse.
I'm assuming its user error, so does anyone have any tips on how to get pin Sharp images on this lens or with this camera? I'm getting a little frustrated.

Any good macro lenses for Nikon d3100?
I have two lenses right now, a 55 - 200 mm one
and a 18 - 55 mm WHICH was the one it came with.
I'm wanting to take macros, of insects.
Very very close up, if possible.
I'm mostly interested in spiders, here's an image &w=700&h=456&ei=-72UULu8IKaOiALVvICYCw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=984&vpy=270&dur=752&hovh=178&hovw=274&tx=134&ty=61&sig=102194690208569614782&page=2&tbnh=146&tbnw=231&start=27&ndsp=35&ved=1t:429, r:18, s:20, i:187 of how close I would LOVE to take a photo. But I'm flexable so if there isn't any like that, I will go for the next best thing.
So do they sell any good ones (here in Canada?) Thanks! Have a great day.

Why is Nikon D5100 significantly cheaper than?
Why is it cheaper than Canon's 60D? I know they don't compare side by side because D5100's competition is Canon's T3i. But I hear so many good things about the D5100, and it seems much more superior than the T3i, why is so much cheaper than the 60D? They are both able to produce great images… And even the D5100 is claimed to do better in low light.
Nikon D5100: $596 new w/ kit lens
Canon 60D: $1, 199 new w/ kit lens
New Nikon D5100: $596 new w/ kit lens
Added (1). And I also read that they are both mid-level DSLRs, so it's not like comparing an entry level to a mid level… They're both supposed to be on the "same" category, right?
Added (2). @Kevin: Well that solves some of it 0.0. I got it off two reviewer blog type websites and Nikon's wikipedia. It's so difficult trying to do research online and not being able to tell which things are true or not…
Added (3). @ Keerok: Well I'm actually feeling torn between the two. I like the price of the D5100 and that it does good in low light, but I like the style of the 60D, the menu, the buttons, and it's overall quality. I don't know how to pick between the two, because I can't get that moment where one feels better than the other in my hands since the only place I can handle them is bestbuy and they're tied down with metal plates.

What are the drawbacks of Nikon D5100 compared to 60D?
Pertaining to anything with speed, like buffer time or just anything that will show the camera to be slower. I know there's factors that play into this, like card and lens used.
Let's say I'm using a kit 18-55mm lens, both cameras at ISO of 200, shutter speed of 1/200, and F-stop of 4, and I'm using a Transcend 16GB class 10 card.
Is one of the cameras faster than the other in any way when shooting?
Anything else besides speed that puts the D5100 behind the 60D besides video? (and not just in quality, but I mean something about it's ergonomics or something I'll notice when using).
Also, which one would lose value sooner?

How much better is the Nikon D3200 than the D3100?
To cut a long story short, I want a new slr camera, I need it because I'm an art student, my friend has the d3100, but won't let me get the same one as her because she wants to be "original" the d3200 is around £80 more than the d3100, is it the d3200 much better?

How many megapixels should a decent dslr camera have?
I'm choosing the camera I want for Christmas, I'm an art student and do a lot of photography within it, so I'm asking for a dslr camera for Christmas. My friend has the Nikon D3100, I really like that camera, but she won't let me get the same one as her! She wants to be "original" so I need to find one, that's of good quality for under £350. I was looking at the canon EOS 1100D, this is only 12.2 megapixels and the Nikon one is 14 megapixels, how much better quality will the Nikon one be compared to the canon? If anyone could recommend a good quality camera, either Nikon, Sony or Canon under £350 and of professions standard I would be really grateful, thank you.

Looking for a nice/cheap camera?
I've always enjoyed photography. I'm looking to continue my hobby more seriously though.
I don't want to spend more than $600.
I've been told that a Nikon D3100 is a decently priced quality camera.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
Added (1). A camera that has an interchangeable lens would be best!

Okay so I'm really young, really really young. Buying a professional camera has been a dream since I was a little kid, I always liked taking pictures. My Best friend told me a few days ago that she might buy one. I thought about it for the past few days and I did a tad bit of research and I found a man selling a Nikon D40 for a thousand and a half where I live and I can't find a way of telling my mother about this. My mother was never the understanding type. She would probably say no before knowing what I actually want. I just want her to pay about 800 only, which isn't too much considering where I live and this is going to be my next birthday gift and I don't have any way of making money because I'm not old enough to work, I got the money I have from my family in holidays, they give me money for my birthday and I saved the money since I was little. The real question is, how can I tell her about this and are there better and cheaper cameras out there than the Nikon D40? Thank you.
Added (1). A thousand and a half is about $400. And I just want my mother to pay me about $200.
