Wireless remote control for Nikon D3100 to auto-focus in video?

Okay, so I have a Nikon D3100 and have recently found that it's not possibly to auto-focus the camera without being behind it so that someone is able to push the shutter release button half-way down. Which is a problem for me. As I want to shoot a video of myself in front of the camera, and have the camera to auto-focus on me when I'm in front of the camera lens- which isn't possible as I can't push down the shutter button without behind behind the camera.
Anyway, I was wondering if it is possible to buy a wireless remote that will enable me to use auto-focus whilst I'm in front of the camera.

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, I don't have much experience when it comes to shooting video.

Battery Stuck in Nikon d3100

I'm new to the fancy camera world, and I purchased my d3100 a few weeks ago. I'm going to a gallery party tomorrow, and the battery is half gone so I wanted to charge it before I left but it won't come out. Is there something special I'm supposed to do? Please help! Thanks!

Filming with multiple cameras?

I'm filming a documentary and plan on using 3 cameras: Canon T4i, Canon Vixia HF M40, as well as the Nikon D3100. I will be filming at 1080p 30fps. The problem is only the Canon cameras support 30p for full HD. The Nikon can shoot 30p but only at 720p. If I use all the cameras and edit in a 1080p timeline, will the Nikon clips be noticeably different compared to the other two?

What Am I doing wrong with the 50mm 1.8 lens?

Outside yesterday it showed EE or EEF I think. Shutter wouldn't budge. Fiddled around with aperture etc, then worked perfect. Nikon 50mm 1.8, D AF. Yes D90 is on AF. Instruction sheet I found poor. It only shows how to connect it to camera. It connects just like lenses for film cameras 35 yrs ago.
Help.
Thank you.

Added (1). I don't want this to happen again.

Added (2). Thanks to photoace I now know what I'm doing wrong. Never thought about looking in camera's manual to find out anything about lens.

How to keep the exposure the same in a stop motion video?

Hi - I'm using a Nikon d40x to shoot a stop motion video. The video is of a white notepad with objects moving on and off it. The problem is, the exposure keeps on changing every frame, because the amount of white in the frame is changing.

I have the camera set to 'M', with a constant shutter speed and aperture. I also have a pre-defined white balance and manual focus. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
