I don't care whether its used, vintage, prime, or third party. I just want a good macro lens for Nikon D5100. I will mainly be shooting insects. I know its a low budget, but like I said, it can be used or vintage, I just want the lens it self to be good quality.
Why the point which I didn't focus on is sharper than the one I focused on?
I have Nikon D7000, when I focus on an object (using AF-S, Single point AF, Matrix Metering, 35mm),
I noticed after I review the picture that the point which is not in focus is sharper than the point (eye) that I focus intentionally.
I took a picture to a girl and I position focus point on her right eye but the result is the left eye is sharper! (I didn't use the point in the center of view finder)
I've read that the successor to the nikon d7000 will arrive before April. When it does arrive, how much time will it take before I see the d7000 drop in price in camera stores and amazon? Will it drop?
How to take pictures at night? Nikon D5100?
This is going to be such a stupid question but I don't know how to. Like when I click the button to take a photo it doesn't do it because it's too dark, but obviously it's light enough outside because I can see things. I want to take pictures of some building which are lit up etc.

Nikon D5100 is my first DSLR and it came with the 18-55mm lens. I have compact and bridge camera so the interchangeable lens that you can change is new to me.
Since I do macro photography I was looking to buy a new lens that ranges up to 200mm.
So my main question is:
Can N D5100 use any of the lens produced by Nikon company or do they have to be specific lens produced by the company for that product? And are there other alternative lens for Nikon D5100 so that I may buy cheaper lens for macro photography?
Computer won't read memory card?
Ok i'm using a Nikon d70 with a compact flash memory card. The camera reads the card fine however when i try and transfer the images to pc (via the lead) the pc comes up with format card to continue… I don't want to lose my images so have no idea what to try. Any suggestions?
Best lens for shooting video with nikon d5100?
I'm interested in buying the nikon d5100 for filming videos, I will also take pictures but they aren't priority. I'm thinking of buying the body only so I can get a lens more suitable for filming. I don't want something extremely wide-angled, but also not something extremely zoomed. I don't need anything that can get an entire skyscraper from a short distance. I will be sitting in a chair about 3-6 feet from the camera and want my to be able to see both above the tip of my head and below my collar bones. I hope I specified enough. My price range is quite low, the cheapest lens that fits most of these guidelines will be the one I want.
