Cracked NIkon D3100 body - Repair or replace?
In a moment of stupidity, our NIkon D3100 (about 5 months old) was dropped and landed on a concrete floor. The camera is completely still functional. There's however a crack near the battery compartment that exposes the inside. The piece that flew off is missing. Nikon's warranty will not cover this. Should we get it fixed? Patch it up with a body case? How much would a repair cost?

I have a Nikon D3000 and will be shooting with the standard 18-55mm lens as well as a 70-200mm f2.8 & a 60mm prime 1.8
I'm nervous because I want my pictures to turn out perfectly, just seeking advice from any seasoned pros out there!

The attachments i purchased are to small to be screwed onto the lens… What can i do to fix this? Is there some sort of adapter or another lens i have to purchase?

Added (1). Thats about what came up when I entered it into a resell website. The implication of your statement was that there could be a better way to recover my investment? I guess actually learning photography could be a good skill to add substance to my life, but how am I gonna do that if I can't pay my rent.
Can I get my Promaster 7500edf to flash when not attached to my Nikon d5000?
Do I need a flash trigger or is there some kind of setting for it to work?
I'm very happy that there's already a discount on the new Nikon D7100 on Amazon. But will a larger discount come any time soon? The d7000 currently has a $400 discount, and I'm pretty sure that didn't happen on day one of its release.

55-200mm NIKKOR for wedding photography? - 1
I might be photographing a wedding next April but I'm not sure if I'll get nice results with my Nikon D3100, even though I'm not charging that much for the service.
I have the 18-55mm Nikon lens and the 55-200mm for shots that require longer zoom.
Do you think this will be enough or should I get anything else?
