Nikon D90 Attachments
I'm fairly new to photography but very interested in learning more so i decided to buy a couple things just to play around with.
I bought these two items off of amazon:

The problem is that when i received it, it won't fit on my current lens:

The attachments i purchased are to small to be screwed onto the lens… What can i do to fix this? Is there some sort of adapter or another lens i have to purchase?
Your lens has a 67mm thread, but the accessories you bought are 52mm.
The reason the thread sizes are different is that typically the better the lens, the larger the lens.
The items you bought are junk, and the reason they are sized for 52mm is that is the thread size for entry level kit lenses (i.e. The 18-55mm lens). These lenses typically come with entry level cameras (both Nikon and Canon), and the accessories are 52mm as they are focused primarily for the entry level market, because novices don't know they are junk so they end up buying them.
While you might find a few of those items for a 67mm thread, it is not as likely as the manufacturers of those things know that people that buy upgraded gear won't buy their junk.
However, there's such a thing called a step-up ring and a step-down ring. They are used to match a different size lens thread to filter thread. One is used for using a filter that is larger than the lens, and the other for a filter that is smaller than the lens.
But here is a warning.using a 67-52 step-down ring would allow you to attach these accessories to your lens, you will get vignetting (like looking in a tube), as the filter would block the path to the lens.
My advice… You have an outstanding camera and lens. It is an advanced camera, and while it has been discontinued, there's no reason you could not have many years of enjoyment out of it. In fact, I have the same camera. Do yourself a favor and only buy good stuff for your camera.
That means; no add on lens adapters. If you need a wide angle lens, or a macro lens - but a true lens, not an adapter.
Wow! I never thought I'd be earning that much money using the junk 18-55mm kit lens with a junk 52mm filter thread. Whoever said the 18-55mm lens is junk doesn't know photography.

Your problem is you have 52mm accessories you want to attach to a 67mm threaded lens. There are step-up filter rings (or is it step-down?) that can be used to make the fit but the next problem would be vignetting due to the huge difference in size of the much smaller accessory. You wouldn't want that to get dark fuzzy corners in your pictures, would you.
If you can return the accessories and have them replaced with the right size then that would be good. If you still have your 18-55mm kit lens then you can attach those accessories to it and buy a new set with the right size (67mm) for the longer lens.
By the way, in case you didn't get the memo, the longer the zoom range of the lens, the poorer it is optically. Blame science on that one!
Had you bothered to look at the front of your 18-105mm zoom lens or read the Specifications for it you would have discovered that it requires 67mm diameter filters. You ordered 52mm diameter attachments. Solution? Send them back and re-order the correct size.
Always, always, always ALWAYS know what you need to order before ordering it. This information is always readily available IF you simply look for it.
