I'm looking at buying my first DSLR camera and i can't decide between a nikon D90 or D5000. Does anyone have any ecperience with these cameras and can possibly offer pros and cons on them both?

Can i trade in my camera at best buy? I recently just broke my Nikon D5100 (beyond repair) and i have the 3 year geek squad protection plan. Do you think i can exchange the new one they are going to give me for another camera and i pay the difference? After all, the guy at geek squad i talked to said "you can pick a new one out".

Those who use tumblr, you know what I'm talking about. Those quality pictures that are really clear and the colors just pop. They look really nice. I have a Nikon D3100 and most people use Canons but I don't think that's what gets them those pictures. What do they do to edit them or how the shoot it? Help?
