Old Flash New Camera: Trigger Voltage for the Nimslo Opti-Lite / Nikon / Fuji X100s?
I recently bought a Nimslo Opti-Lite external flash, (comes with the Nimslo 3D film camera). I'm aware that many old flashes are dangerous to use on new electronic cameras because of excessive trigger voltage. The cameras I intend to use it on are my Nikon D7000 and Fuji X100s. I have heard Nikons can handle a decent amount of trigger voltage, (some where around 6v) and also recall the X100s having a bit less (around 4), that is if I remember correctly. I know you that I can buy a flash voltage protecter but would not want to if I do not have too.
Primarily interested with Dual Flashes, I was also looking into lights like the Nishika Twin Light 3010 and the Albinar 100MDT-Twin Bounce Flash.
I have an old flash cable and was also wondering if I were to use that, would it alter the voltage the camera receives, making it safer.
I also have a pair of wireless speed lights and was wondering if the old flash could somehow damage the receiver that it's plugged onto?
If anybody can give me any information about voltage for the Nimslo, the Albinar, the Nisika, other similar flashes, voltage protectors, alternative solutions, etc… I would really appreciate it!
Added (1). I really appreciate all the help so far from everyone! Thank you very much for all of the advice and suggestions. I will definitely look into buying a voltage reducer and will also try to test the voltage on the Nimslo.

Why won't Dragonframe recognise that my Nikon camera is connected to the computer
HI, I have rented a Nikon D3100 to do an animation project but when I connect it to my computer with the USB cable the programe only picks up my Imac desktop camera (which I can't disconnect).
Does anyone know how to solve this? URGENT!

Can the Nikon D3100 charge through the computer?
How does the Nikon D3100 charge? Is it able to charge through the computer? In Australia does it come with an appropriate wall charger (Australian wall charger) or does it have to be brought separate?
Also… How does it load pictures onto the computer if the battery is not in it.
Buying this camera tomorrow and would love to know.

What lens can my camera support?
I'm using a Nikon D3100 DSLR with kit lens 18-55mm lens. I was wondering what kind of lens my camera support? And what other brand's lens can I use with my camera?
Added (1). If I'm going to use other brand's lenses do I need an adapter or something?

How to execute professional-looking photographs in a dark setting?
I have a Nikon D5100 and I'm very comfortable taking photos in brighter settings or in a morning/afternoon setting. Though when it comes to late afternoon/nighttime settings, I can never execute a great photo. They always turn blurry or the lighting is horrible. How do I take a professional photograph in a dark setting? I usually see photographs of a dark setting with a window shining light and that's sort of what I want to go for.

Hi! I'm just starting a beauty channel on youtube, and I'm looking into getting one of the handycams for filming my videos. I have a few questions:
-How good are these at shooting videos for youtube? I want my vids to look professional and polished, with good sound. The way typical beauty videos by famous bloggers like essiebutton and whatihearttoday look. Not incredibly pro a la missglamorazzi, but good enough for people to want to watch.
-What do i do about audio? Right now i'm recording with a nikon d5000, and the video quality and sound SUCK. I hate hate hate bad audio, and I really want it to be crisp and clean. Would this camcorder do the work for me, or do i need a separate mic?
-does it autofocus during video? I need to be able to hold up swatches, etc and for it to focus without me having to do it manually.
any help would be amazing.

Nikon D3100. How to change image type from JPEG to RAW?
I want to change the image file type from JPEG to RAW. I read that RAW is better for taking pictures of stars or the moon, and i can't find the setting on my camera.
ANYBODY KNOW!

Nikon D5100 18-105mm or 18-55 & 55-200?
Is there much of a difference between 105 and 200 mm lens? Because I don't want to buy two lenses if I don't have to.

Issues with camera shake using dslr?
I'm using a Nikon D3200 with the kit lens 18-55mm currently, and have VR turned on.
Yesterday I went for a shoot at a local nature reserve, and found that when returning home many of the images had some camera shake in, which made many of the photos useless when zoomed in or cropped.
I was using an ISO of 400, generally keeping the aperture at f9-11 and the shutter speed then adjusts accordingly, it was usually between 40 and 100.
I was wondering what I can do to reduce camera shake, as I understand reducing the aperture can reduce sharpness and increasing the ISO can increase noise, and of course carrying a tripod is not always convenient.
Any help is appreciated, and many thanks in advance!
