Compare the Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6D Lens with the Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G?

I'm trying to decide which one to buy! I have a Nikon D3000, and I'm VERY new to photography so any input would be helpful. I haven't really researched the Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6D Lens so I'm not even sure if it's compatible or if it's what I'm looking for. Any advice is helpful!

Additional information:
I'm looking for a lens that will give me more zoom. I don't need PERFECT quality photos, but decent quality would be nice.

How to get my lens to zoom?

Ok, so I have a Nikon D70 and my 70-300mm lens will not zoom in, it will auto-focus, but it stays at the same zoom level no matter what. When you turn the dial to zoom the lens doesn't extend and it doesn't zoom in at all. What can I do to fix this?

Nikon d5100 bracketing

So I'm having trouble with my nikon d5100.It is bracketing automatically, even when I don't hold down the shutter. For every three pictures, even if they are of different things, it still is bracketing somehow. The first one will be underexposed, second normal, and third, overexposed. I do not want to be auto bracketing every time I shoot, and I'm having trouble making it so that sometimes its on, sometimes its off. Any suggestions?

Next Model up from the Nikon D90?

What is the next model up from the Nikon D90?

Also, I know there are many cameras out there with "superb" image quality and "full HD" which is a bonus, so can someone point me in the right direction please?

I want something "really" worth my time that will bring me great happiness in shooting, "not" the run of the mill crap!

Price range around £800.00.

How to get rid of this pink in my photo?

I just bought a new camera, nikon d3100
I'm learning how it works but i've tried and tried again to figure out why my camera is taking all this photos with pink in them. I just took a picture not long ago of a body of water and the sky (overcast) reflection turns out pink instead of the gray color it should be.
I have put the photo i took as my profile photo if anyone could take a look and give me some advice on what i'm doing wrong. Thank you.

Added (1). Photo is now on Flickr aswell

DSLR not focusing/all blurry?

So recently I got a Nikon D3100 DSLR.
It was focusing fine and everything until one day where everything suddenly got really blurry no matter what I did. If I zoomed or unzoomed, everything got blurry. If I stood far away, it was still blurry. I didn't really mess with it other than turn the dial to change its modes (i.e. Auto/Manual/Portrait/Sport/etc.)

How can I get it to focus and sharpen pictures again?

Added (1). Also, while normally you can get pics where the subject is sharpened but the background is blurred out, now it's like the opposite.

My friend set it to Manual when she used it a day before this happened. (Maybe this is why? I'm just not sure)

How to use my Yongnuo 560 ii on my nikon d3100?

I'm considering getting a Yongnuo 560ii for my Nikon d3100.

I heard that it is a totally manual flash, how can I fire it when I release my shutter button from the camera? Do I need to get something else for this?

How much zoom will I get with a 55-200mm lens on my Nikon D3000?

I'm a new DSLR user, and I have graduation commencement this Sunday. I found someone who is selling their Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G VR lens for $100. I'm speaking at my commencement and I want some good quality photos of me on stage. I plan to offer the seller $80 for this lens, after I meet with them and ensure the lens is in good condition of course. I'm just curious if this will be enough zoom that I'm looking for. I used to have a Canon PowerShot and it had amazing zoom, so I was a little spoiled, but I wanted to upgrade to the good quality of a DSLR camera. I know it will be 3x zoom, but what exactly does that mean? How far away can I shoot, and will the pictures be good quality?

Any answers are appreciated!
