I want a new digital camera! But I don't know what is the difference in the models?
Like point & shoot, SLR, etc. Is there a better brand? Canon, Olympus, Nikon, Pentax, Samsung, etc? Do mega-pixels determine the quality of the pic? I like taking nature pics. I also have children who are active in sports and I attend many professional sporting events throughout the year and like to take pics of the action. So I want something that will take unblurry pics at high speed but isn't overly heavy or bulky? Any suggestions?
Need some camera/photography advice?
Hi everyone… Well recently I've ventured into the world of photography, I went out & bought a Canon Powershot A3100 digital camera, it's the most basic digital camera pretty much, however I want to start small and get used to a general camera/taking pictures of amateur models before I spend $700-$1, 200 on a professional Canon or Nikon. So I've decided on glamour/costume type photography, I found 10 willing models (paid them of course) and they let me take their photos with my basic amateur digital camera, and some of the pictures turn out absolutely awesome, they look like a pro camera took them. However, in low/medium light, specifically with dark colors such as brown, black, and purple/red, I get fuzziness in the photos. I'm not sure what this is called. I have tried to adjust the sharpness on my Canon editor but it doesn't seem to work. Anyway, I'm attaching a picture so you can see what I mean. This only seems to happen when I'm taking photos in "Auto" mode. When it is in general "picture" mode, the photos will turn out great.
Is there anyway I can edit this to make them clear OR avoid in this in the "auto" feature in future shoots?

Why are imported DSLR lens are cheaper than USA lens?
I'm trying to get an everyday 18-105 mm Nikon lens, but I was told that the image quality is not as good as the 18-55 mm and or 55-200 mm lens. Why is that?
I'm getting my first DSLR and I can't decide on a Canon or Nikon DSLR. I've gotten used to a cousin's Canon but a friend says Nikon's the best camera brand she can think of. I just want a camera that takes good pictures. Any suggestions?
Photography? How to take really good pictures with just a plain digital ca, era?
I have a Kodak easy share and I want to take really good pictures like these:
Is it completely impossible? I can't afford a Nikon…
Renting professional digital cameras in Boston?
Me my girlfriend and a friend of mine have been trying to update our portfolios with nice professional photos for our modeling careers. I've hired photographers before and went to events where our photos are taken for free.Me and my girl have a child now so we really don't have time to follow a photographers schedule. I was thinking of renting a Cannon or Nikon for a weekend to go all over Boston with various clothes to change into and take some photos. Is it worth it or should we leave it to the professionals, are cameras like the ones used in photo shoots more complicated then simple digital cameras. What equipment we need exactly if we're going to random spots in Boston to take our own professional photos both in the day time and night. You know of any places in Boston where I can rent a Cannon/Nikon
Using a digital camera for video production?
I'm shopping for a new digital camera and camera (after leaving BOTH in a taxi).
But, my question is in regards to mid-range cameras that also record video. I'm debating whether I will be happy with just buying a nicer camera with video option as opposed to buying both the camera and camcorder separately. Like this Nikon below:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5705752&CatId=3625
It records in HD video. Has anyone used a camera like this for video recording/production as well? I'm not a pro obviously so I don't need high-end equipment, but I'm wondering how a camera like this would work for shooting extended HD video. Would it be just as good as having an HD Camcorder?
I previously had a Sony camera that recorded SD video, but once in video mode the lens position was fixed; you couldn't zoom without stopping the recording. Is this still an issue with cameras?
Looking for a new, digital camera? Advise?
For my birthday I have asked my parents for a new camera but don't know which one. I'm looking for a professional digital camera which is good for beginners (I want to start photography for a hobby). I have been looking at websites such as nikon and canon but I don't know where to start.
I will also be going to a camera store soon but I wouldn't mind some suggestions or hints.
Thank you!

Where can I find a Sigma 50-500mm f/4-6.3 EX DG HSM AF Lens for Nikon SLR Camera?
I'm looking for a store that has this lens still available. I know they were discontinued by Sigma earlier but I was wondering if anyone had some left over.
Example of such lens can be found here:
