I have a Kodak easy share and I want to take really good pictures like these:

Is it completely impossible? I can't afford a Nikon…

Not impossible just improbable. For the first picture there are certain filters you can use to edit your picture on the computer. As for the second you need a waterproof capable camera.

the important thing to remember to take good pictures is dynamic, color contrast, and composition. Your eyes naturally follow a patter around the picture using the natural flow. To get a more dynamic picture break up the flow and make the objects in the picture choppy and mis-sorted.

also think about where the light is.other then that have fun and take pictures of what you find interesting.play with zoom and odd angles and every picture will turn out lovely.

That's all editing. Have fun.

It is possible to capute technically sound photographs with a simple digital camera because after all it's the person behind the camera who makes a photo good. You have to have an eye for photography and you seem to have it. You can have a basic camera, yet capute something nicer than someone with a Nikon D5000 or whatever. It's normally who takes the photograph. Having a better camera can just allow you to be capable of more, not necessarily make you take better pictures.

I like the first image kinda, except I'm not a fan of the colours on the side, whether you've added those on with filters or whether they were natural. I like the idea of the photo though and the quality is okay.
Now the second photo I really like. It's very imaginative and it almost tells a story which I think is really good. A picture almost always has to have a story behin it, or even tell a story. In other words, it has to have meaning and I feel the second picture does. It has an erray of colours which make it good to look at. It's a bit crazy in the top half of the photo due to the water reflections and whatnot. Some people like that, some people don't. For a plain digi camera they're good and you seem to have the eye for it, which is the key feature. If you don't have the eye, you can't achieve something worth looking at.

Keep at it.

The first picture was taken with a film camera, probably a Holga. The light leaks really give it away.

For the second picture you need an underwater camera, a person with hair, and water.

By using good lighting, you can create good pictures with almost any camera.

However, when you want to take a picture underwater, you need a LOT of good equipment, or go with one of the cheap waterproof cameras. The look of the second picture makes me think it was a DSLR and a water housing. A water housing for a DSLR starts around 1500.00 (camera not included), and goes up from there. A cheap P&S waterproof camera is 150.00.
