Dslr lens help.i need some about what things mean?
So i'm a kinda still new into photography. I'm looking at a lens but i need help with what some things mean. Nikon - 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR Telephoto Lens is the lens in question. I don't know what the difference is form the 70 to 300mm and the 55 to 300mm. If some one can answer that. Also what dose the f/4.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S mean. I have no idea i could really use some help.
Can I return my 55-200mm Nikon lens to Best Buy?
I've had it for probably a week or two now, and I wasn't aware of the 55-300mm lens. Needless to say, it makes sense for me that I go ahead and see if I can return my 55-200mm and exchange it for a 55-300mm. I wasn't entirely sure about how this would all work out, however. The lens I have now was $220 when I bought it, so I figure I'd get that back in store credit, and I could just pay them the extra $100 for the 55-300mm when I get there.
I just wasn't sure if I CAN return my lens for the new one, though. It's still in perfect condition, and I still have all the boxing and packaging. Should there be any problems?
Added (1). And yes, I do still have the receipt.
Added (2). Also, the original Best Buy I made the purchase at is rather far away (it's in-state and everything, but it was about a one hour drive out there for other reasons). Do I have to return it at the Best Buy I bought the lens at? The Best Buy nearest me has both the lens I have and the one I want to return it for. Should I be able to return mine and get the other one there?
What would be a good DSLR for a beginner?
What would be a good DSLR for a beginner? I know i want the brand to be Canon or Nikon. I would photograph people and places. My budget is $700 including an optical lens.
Best Digital Camera or Camcorder?
What is the best digital camera or camcorder for traveling, on the go videos and pictures, graduation, and pictures like that and good long videos. And pictures with friends and scenery. I'm a teenager so yeah I basically need a camera or camcorder like that. I want it to be nikon.kodak, sony, toshiba and known name brand. I want it to be in pink hot pink not light pink or it can be in purple, red, or blue thanks! LD
I'm 14 about to turn 15 and really interested in photography not just as a hobby but hopefully a career someday I'll be taking classes in the fall. So what type of dslr camera would be a good for a beginner like me? I'm looking into all brands (cannon, nikon… Etc.). The minimum I would like to spend is around $600 for right now. Also if anyone out there has some good online photography courses you would recommend that would be great!
If I put my camera on the A dial how do i take a macro shot? I have a nikon 85mm f3.5 macro lens
Do I need to lsmaller aperture or bigger aperture and what ISO and shutter speed do I need to put it on?

Is it possible to put on an adapter for the HMC150 and screw on lenses from Nikon cameras? The HMC has a 72mm.
