Recommended video editing programmes?
I'm planning on becoming a You Tuber later on this year, but the problem i'm having is that i'm not sure what video editing software i should use. I don't want anything too expensive at the moment, not unless i get really into it, i'm looking for a cheap (if not free) video editing programme that isn't too hard to use. I own a Dell/Windows computer so I can't use any Apple or Mac products. I plan on using a Nikon digital camera for the moment, but i'm looking into better cameras (if that makes a difference).
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Fujifilm, GE or Panasonic Bridge camera?
I'm an amateur at photography but I love doing it. I like to capture things that are moving and still and pretty much anything. I'm not one of those people who take sepia pictures of lamps and call it art but I really appreciate those one of a kind photos. I DON'T want to become a photographer or anything major like that. As I've mentioned I'm not skilled in photography so you help would be greatly appreciated. Don't mention Nikon or Canon I know they're the top two competitors but these are the ones I'm rooting on.
I've never had a Bridge camera before, only small digital ones. I've always wanted one and now I've saved up enough money. I'm not willing to spend more than 350 dollars because I'm saving for a trip but I want one that's quality. I've narrowed it down to 3 options. Here they are:
(My first pick) Fujifilm FinePix HS30EXR Digital Camera: 16 MP High speed continuous shooting, HD video, TTL Hot Shoe, 30x manual zoom
General Imaging X600-BK Digital Camera, HD video recording, High Speed Continuous Shooting, Object Tracking
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ60K Digital Camera: 16.1 MP, 24x optical zoom Leica DC lense, 60i full HD video
There are more features to each. Just not sure on which to buy!
A DSLR lens with image stabilization attached to a converter?
I have a Panasonic 4/3rd DSLR and a converter that will allow Nikon lenses to be attached, my question is if I buy a Telephoto Nikon lens that has Image Stabilization (I'm shooting a documentary) and attach it to the converter will it still give me image stabilization?
Added (1). Er adapter I mean
Added (2). My trip is on monday and I somehow deleted the order for the Pansonic lens which means the mail would come on tuesday with fastest shipping available, the stores around here do not sell pansonic lens that i need
What are the benefits of having a DSLR camera over a really nice point and shoot?
I recently discovered I not only enjoy photography, but am good at it. I've even had a few people ask me to photograph them or their kids for money. So I bought a Nikon P520 and have been very happy with the results I get using that and Corel photo editing. HOWEVER… I have come across some folds who have the dslr and I love the sounds it makes XD this is a stupid reason to buy a expensive camera, but am I missing out on anything by not having one? Or are theyr eally for pros and hard core hobbiests?
Added (1). Just to clarify, the cool sounds the cameras make is what drew my attention to them as a beginner, not why I would buy one. That is why I'm asking more experienced photographers the benefits of owning one over what I already have.
If it matters, my main areas of interest to photograph are portraits and architecture, some landscapes.
Lens purchase help for Nikon d7100?
I'm planning on buying the Nikon d7100. The only trouble now is picking out the right lens…
I mostly shoot videos with dslr's, so I will not be using it much for photography. Also, my budget is anywhere up to $1000.
Why can't i view pictures on the nikon computer software?
So on the nikon computer software, i click on an image from the thumbnail and instead of showing the picture, it shows a black screen with little splotches of color wherever the most color was. How do i get out of this mode?
Can DXO Mark be relied upon as being truthful and unbiased?
I suspect there's a bias toward Nikon in the test results?

Which SLR Camera? Ideal entry level set-up?
Hi, looking to get a good value for money SLR camera. Purpose will be to take travel shots, family shots, and use for a couple of business websites (some video capability would also be great for this purpose).
I know Canon or Nikon are popular choices; I'd love some recommendations on what (USA) make/model would be best suited, and any essential starter lenses/ accessories. Something easy enough for a novice to operate, but which will allow for increasing user capability and additional accessories over time. Budget is flexible, am after quality and value but certainly not the 'Rolls Royce' model.
Well I'm planning to take GCSE Photography in college, but not sure what camera to purchase?
I've heard that Canon and Nikon are brilliant cameras! Which one would you recommend?
Price range is between around £200-£450.
Has anyone taken this course? If so which camera did you use?
