Why does my nikon D3100 stop recording video?
I Got a NIkon D3100 a few days ago and today i tested out the video function. The first thing I did with it the entire day was record a 30sec clip in 1080. Then i attempted to take a longer video also at 1080 but it cut me off at 3min 29 sec. Each video i tried to take after that would auto stop after a shorter and shorter period of time. The ambient temp is around 60F and my battery is/was fully charged… I'm using a 8GB PNY class 4 SD card with 87 other pictures on it… Any idea what's wrong?
Currently I have a standard 18-55mm lense for my camera. I'm looking to purchase another one but do not know what range of lenses are available. Are there certain types that are not compatible with the D3000? I'm aware that you are supposed to choose a lense on the type of photography you want to improve on. Mainly I want to do landscape photography but am just interested in the range of compatible lenses on offer.

Is a Nikon d90 worth buying when I already have a d40?
I currently have a Nikon d40 with 3 lenses: 18-55mm, 28-70mm, and a 70-300mm. Recently someone suggested that I should get a d90, as they are apparently much better. Is this true? Also, will the lenses I currently have work with the d90? (the lens diameter of the d40 is 52mm) Mainly I want to ask if the d90 is worth paying the extra several hundred pounds for, when I already have a perfectly good D-SLR.
As a subtext, I would also like to ask about filters. Do they make a difference? And how do you even attach them to the camera?

When I try to access the memory card, it asked me to format the card.
You know I won't because there's a lot of great shots in it as it from my nikon D90.
How can I retrieve all photos from the card? What tools can I use to recover those photos?

Can I get a link or something to see samples of the pictures the D3100 takes i mean the pictures with the kit lenses. Because when i look it up on youtube just the footage sample comes out. And i'm totally happy about what this camera can do with the video but i want to see multiple shots taken with the kit lenses.
