Are third party batteries bad?
I'm getting a Nikon D3100 and need a spare battery. I want to pick up a Vivitar Battery (third party). I'm getting it because it is cheap. I'm just scared, if I use it, will it break my camera? I don't care about battery shortage, I just need something for those last hour of shoots. I just am worried about the camera. I'm getting a VIvitar En-El14 battery. I'm worried about camera, please inform me. I just need to know if it will damage my camera, I don't care about the life.

FOR WHOEVER UNDERSTANDS NIKON ESPECIALLY NIKON D90 (MOVIE SETTINGS AND AUDIO PROBLEM)?
So here's the story
i had tried to set the exposure, aperture, diafragma, etc in video mode of NIKON D90
but it still wouldn't change! The brightness always same (if i was in a bright place, it would be really bright, and vice versa. So i couldn't get a normal brightness for the video!) and didn't make any difference although i had set it to high or low!
and also i had tried to record the video and THERE WAS NO SOUNDS AT All although the audio setting was already ON!
i had read the manual book page 170 but it didn't help AT ALL… The audio still disappeared, and i couldn't hear anything from the video although i was screaming a lot in the video.
i've tried to check out google, youtube and what not for the solutions but i didn't get what i need to solve this.
i need your help really soon because i must use this camera for footage day tomorrow. Please. :'(
sorry for my english tho.

Viewfinder not in focus? Nikon D3200?
The viewfinder on my nikon D3200 is no longer ever in focus. When the picture is taken the photo is in focus, what's wrong with it?

I always wanted to get into photography and I also want to make some hd videos for my utube channel. What camera do you think would be best for video and photos? Right now i'm looking at the
Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP and the Nikon D3100 14.2MP. What would you recommend around the $500 range?

Where i can buy a Nikon or a Canon DSLR in Philippines?
This summer (here in Milan summer is june to september) I'm going back to Philippines! Finally after a lot of years…
So I was wondering where I can buy Nikon Cameras? Or a Canon Camera?
I always wanted my own camera and my mom and dad decided to buy me one, but here in milan costs about 1,000/2,000euros so 100,000/200,000pesos and they said that it cost so much so they said to search in Philippines!
I want a Nikon D3200 or a Canon 1100d or a Canon 650d or a Nikon D5100:)

Alright so I have a problem. I've been wanting to upgrade my point and shoot camera for forever, and finally just got the okay to do so with a vacation to Canada coming up and my mom wanting some quality photos. I've done some research, and I think I've narrowed it down to two cameras: the Nikon d3100 and d3200. My problem is that I don't have much DSLR experience, so I don't know which would be more beneficial to me. I found the d3100 for $509 (I've got about $230 in gift cards-birthday and Christmas money for the past two years that I've been saving for this purpose) and it comes with the 18-55 mm lens and the 55-200 mm lens. However, the d3200 for $500 seems to be better quality overall, but only comes with the 18-55 mm lens. I'd use this camera for my upcoming trip to Canada, as well as the photography class I'm starting up next school year, and sport events (equestrian sports and swimming mainly, if it makes a difference)
I just don't know which would be better based on what I would be using the camera for, so any advice from people with DSLR experience would be much appreciated. If I got the d3200 I wouldn't be able to get a second lens for at least another year because I'm spending basically all of my money paying for a trip to Germany to visit a friend.

Flash compensation vs exposure compensation?
My studio test shots came out relatively dark, my settings:
1/125, f/8, ISO200 with Nikon D90, 60mm prime lens, SB-910 speed light.
How do I get brighter result without changing the shutter speed, aperture and ISO?
I wish I have a studio and experience all by myself.
Your professional advice is greatly appreciated.
