What is going on with my Nikon D7100 and Sigma 150-500mm lens? Major focusing issue?
I've had my Nikon D7100 since late last November. I used to shoot with the Nikkor 70-300mm VR and the shots came out extremely sharp. Back in January I upgraded the lens to a Sigma 150-500mm. There seems to be nothing wrong with the lens, I've tested it on my old Nikon D5100 and the shots are fine and sharp. But it's a totally different story with my D7100. I've fine tuned the auto focus and tried many different settings but absolutely no shot, even in gorgeous lighting at point blank range, is even close to being focused properly. I know what I'm doing, I've been into nature photography for a few years and have experience with DSLR's even longer. But this is seriously frustrating that I have equipment that it completely capable of fine shots and they aren't cooperating like they should. Strangely, today out of nowhere the camera started acting bizarre and would take black shots when it wasn't supposed to, shots would come out too bright even in the correct settings, and the buttons and focus would lock up often. It had not done that before. So I'm wondering what I should do. It's really odd to me that the camera focuses fine with any other lens and the lens focuses fine with any other camera. I don't wanna sell the lens, I don't see a point. But I feel I should do something about the camera since it's really acting up. Should I contact Nikon? It's like the camera is totally rejecting the lens. So any suggestions on what I should do would be great.

I'm new in photography… And i just started to take an interest in it but i need a good camera! I heard the Nikon D5100 was good. Any reviews on that? Or other suggestions? Id like to stay under the 350 price, i'm just a beginner!

I' ve just recently got my first digital camera, a second hand Nikon D80, the camera came without a flash. From my days using a film camera I have a Canon Speedlite 177A.
My question is this, will the Speedlite work on the Nikon and do the older flashes designed for film cameras work on DSLR?
If the Speedlite won't do the business any recommondations as to a decent flash for what I know is a pretty dated camera?
As always thanks for your input.

Added (1). I agree with the pop up flash but there are many occasions when the pop up would just not be good enough. I also want to build up a small kit

Nikon D5100 won't format memory card?
My camera has been giving me error messages and not reading a single card for months now. I've recently learned it needs a firmware update. I have the update downloaded, and the card will read in my computer and I can transfer the firmware update but every card I have comes up with "card is not formatted, format card" when put in to my camera. I have gone to the menu, formatted the card, it will say format is complete, and as soon as I exit out of that menu it says "card is not formatted, format card" again. I've tried to format it with my Mac's disk utility and that didn't work, either. I have no idea what to do, I need my camera to work again but none of the instructions anyone has given me is working, and I know it needs the firmware update. Should I just send it to Nikon to be repaired or is there ANYTHING else I can do?

Nikon D3100 focus driving me nuts. How do I get it focused?
I have been trying to get the camera focused all day long and it's driving me nuts. It was absolutley perfect yesterday and now today it's off focus!
I'm shooting a largish stationary subject indoors, the lighting is good. I stand about 6ft back with the use of a tripod and the subject is about 4 ft forward from the wall.
I have tried everything I can think of… Also read online but with no success… So has anyone got any suggestions/tips/settings?
these are my settings:
Aperture A
ISO 100
AFS-single servo
AF Area-single point
Metering-center weighted
shutter speed 1
Aperture 5
Thanks

Good camera for shooting action shots?
I'm looking to buy a camera so i can shoot good action shots. (ex: pets, sports, people, wildlife.etc)
My price range would be $500 and down.
i've been looking at the nikon d3200, cannon rebel t3i, or the nikon d5100.
i'm new to this, so i just wanted to know what some of you camera experts think.
Also, is a shutter speed of 1/4000 per second good? Because some reviews are saying that its slow? Would these cameras not be good for action shots then?
One last question, when i buy a camera, does the lens come with it or do i buy that on its own?

Helios lens for nikon d5000 adapter?
I have a helios 44M and I want to use it on my Nikon D5000 camera. Do you guys know which adapter I should buy? And will i be able to change the normal lens to a helios lens myself?

I'm searching for a USS 200 camera for general use. Some web pages like http://www.photographyblog.com/ said that L820 is far superior to others in the same price range but I read some comments saying that the L820 sucks, I'd like to know which other camera is recommendable with similar specs.
Thanks.
Added (1). About d3200… Right now I'm searching for a point and shot, maybe later I'll go for a dslr.
