Nikon Camera Compatible with Final Cut Express 4?

Okay so i'll make this quick by asking, if a Nikon D5000 12.3 MP DX Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens and 2.7-inch Vari-angle LCD is compatible with using with Final Cut Express 4 aka Final Cut Express 4.0? On youtube I saw this guy who made these really cool music videos using that camera in some of his videos and using Final Cut Express, or Final Cut Pro. However he didn't specify in which Final Cut Express version he used, so I was just wondering if anyone knew if Final Cut Express 4 is compatible with that type of Nikon camera. Or maybe someone can tell me which version is compatible with that camera if it's not that version.

The clips from my nikon D90 (which uses the same encoding as the d5000) work in i-movie, final cut pro 3, Adobe premiere pro and After effects so while I have never used Final Cut Express 4 I assume it would work in it…
