Will any teleconverter work with nikon 55-300 VR lens?

Hello- yes, I know teleconverters are not ideal… But I can't spend money on a longer lens (happy with the nikkor 55-300 mm lens.except when I take pictures of the moon!) since I'm saving for a wide angle lens (landscapes are more my thing- looking at the sigma 10-20 mm for that). My question is- will a teleconverter work on my long lens without losing focus? My main purpose for wanting the longer reach is moon photos. So obviously, if focusing/sharpness is lost with teleconverters, it's a no go. Advice?

Is the 16-85mm or 18-105mm better?

1) I want either one of them due to it's a versatile lens as an amateur I want a versatile lens. (Buying the Nikon D7000 110% by the way.)
2) Which one would not 'degrade' my Nikon D7000?
3) Why choose that one? List a few reasons?
4) Which one's optically better?

Please answer and do not direct me to a site.

How to take clear and crisp actions shots with my nikon d3000?

I'm a horseback rider and like taking pictures of horses jumping at shows. I have found that indoor pictures especially are almost always blurry on the sports setting as well as most outdoors. I'm not super familiar with photography or cameras yet so sorry if this is a stupid question but i just feel like capturing clear action shots with a $600 camera should be possible and a lot easier than it has been.

Very, VERY Important. I need your opinion please?

So I sold a Nikon D40, Which was pretty much my baby, For money which I thought I needed at the time.
I didn't need it anymore so I decided to buy an iPad2, which just came out, and was sold out within 20 minutes of it being on sale at the Target I went to.
It says online that it will not be at my house until April 14th, that is after my Spring Break and everything…

So do you think I should just wait until April 14th, or try to find one in stores?

Nikkor micro lens shopping assistance please?

I'm 15 and i have recently picked up a Nikon D90 DSLR. I already own a 70-300mm lens for nature shooting but, i would love to get in close because i love those shots and i have so many objects i would love to shoot. I have seen many different types of lenses for macro shooting but not sure which one is right or my D90. Please help me pick the perfect one. My budget is about 0-800$. Something not hard to control but amazing picture quality. (for a D90) thank you so much.
