What other brands of lenses work for the Nikon D3000?
I have the Nikon D3000 and I was wondering what other lenses would work with my camera body, besides Nikkor lenses.
I'm looking for ones that function completely, with the autofocus.
Thinking of getting the canon rebel t3i?
Should i get it? Or should i get the nikon d5100
Looking to upgrade to SLR, I'm between T2i & Nikon D3100?
Ok, so I've been working with a Canon SX30, and it's been great for the most part but I want to upgrade to an SLR camera.
I'm not trying to be a photographer or anything, but I need high quality video and pictures to cover events and film interviews for my website, MissLs.net. Usually I'm able to bring someone from my team who does have a higher quality camera, but that isn't always possible and I want to always be prepared.
Would appreciate some input!
I'm going to use a lot for video, and I did like the external mic capabilities with the Canon, however I know the D3100 has great color quality and is a little bit cheaper.

I thank everyone for their input, thought I'd explain a little further. I have weighed out pretty much every detail of the pros and cons of both, so I'm really looking for a solid answer of which one to get from an experienced stand point. I really am having trouble deciding. The one thing that has been holding me back is that the T2i has an external mic input, where as the Nikon doesn't. Then again, it costs 1-200 more. I will also be shooting in low light settings on many occasions.

They formerly fit on a Nikon N65. What digital cameras would they fit on?
Added (1). Which cameras would that include? Would they fit a D3000 or D3100?

They are CPU lenses, they are type D with the aperture ring. The numbers on the lense are 70-300mmD1:4-5.6 On the N65 they are auto focus and manual focus. They have the 5 pin mount.

How to set shutter speed in manual mode on nikon d5000?
I have a manual focus prime lens. I would like to change the shutter speed.
Added (1). When I attach the lens, I can't rotate the dial to apeture mode. It says that the lens is not attached. I can only shoot in complete manual mode.
Can't delete pictures with card reader?
Ok so i have a nikon d3100 and a pny 16gb class 10 sd card. When i try and use my card reader i can't delete any of the pictures. However when i use a usb cable and connect it to my camera i'm able to delete pics. Any ideas on why this is?
