I have a Nikon D5000 DSLR, but it's so big it's hard to take it everywhere. Since I'm going on some trips this summer where I'd rather not risk damaging my camera and with college on the horizon, I was wondering what point and shoot digital camera produces the clearest results for under $200.
So i'm trying to learn how to do motion blur with my D40 can someone explain how to do something kinda like this? 
is it like a photoshop effect or can i do it with my camera
and also if you could check out my stuff
I have decided that I wanted a professional camera, but since I'm a teenager, the price range is hard to conquer. I have a passion for photography so please don't criticize. I really want to get the Nikon D7000, but its really expensive and i'm working on making more money. Does anyone know of any good professional digital cameras that is by the Nikon brand and are similar, yet cheaper to the nikon D7000?

Good, cheap, point-and-shoot cameras?
So I'm going to Warped Tour in about 4 days and I just learned that I can't take my Nikon D5000 with me (I called the AT&T Center in San Antonio today, they told me flat out they'll only allow 35mm cameras without detachable lenses).So with only 4 days, I can't order anything online. So what are the best cheap cameras available at places like Walmart (I live in a small town, so I have limited options)? I'm looking for ones similar to the Kodak EasyShare C183.
What would you consider with a Nikon d7000? 50mm 1.8g or 35mm 1.8g?
I'm tight on budget so if you suggest other prime lens any lens lower than 300 bucks. Any suggestions and comments will be appreciated.
Nikon D90 close-up attachment?
I want to buy a close-up attachment for my Nikon D90, to use with my 18-105mm VR lens, but I'm not sure which one to get. I spoke to a BH employee on their live chat, and he told me to get this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...t_HMC.html
but, I don't understand why. What's the different between this one and a 77mm one? Which one's closer? I'm so confused. =P
