What would you consider with a Nikon d7000? 50mm 1.8g or 35mm 1.8g?
I'm tight on budget so if you suggest other prime lens any lens lower than 300 bucks. Any suggestions and comments will be appreciated.
$60 more for the 50mm f/1.4. Can't you wait? It's a whole world of a difference.
Between the two, I'd go for the 35mm f/1.8.It's more normal (standard) on a crop sensor dSLR and should be more flexible with about any shooting condition thrown at you out there.
The 50mm f/1.4 would have the advantage of speed but will have trouble doing wide angle shots in cramped spaces.
That's up to you. The 35mm is a good general purpose lens on your APS-C sized sensor (equivalent field of view on a 50mm lens on a 35mm camera). The 50mm would be a better portrait lens. What do you want to do?
If you have a lens which covers 35 and 50 mm, set your focal length to 35 and 50 mm and see which focal length you like best. You can tape the zoom ring in place so it won't change during this experiment.
Well the 35mm, 50 are really just general purpose lenses… I'm not a fan of the 35 but the 50 is nice and sharp… There's not really a field per say that these lenses are made for but these work well in low light like for a concert or low light architectural work…
- Which would you prefer? The AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G or the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor?
- What should I consider when purchasing a flash for my Nikon D7000?
- What are some lenses that you consider must haves for a nature/ landscape photographer?
- What would you do? Would you buy a refurbished lens?
- Why would I choose Nikon 17-35mm over the Nikon 16-35mm, or vice-versa?
