Will these two different cameras make a bigt difference in video quality?
I'm about to buy the nikon D3100 and D5000 but there different qualities will this make a big difference when using them both for my videos but there the only one that can find used and cheap my budget is under 400$ per camera. If you guys know some cheap dslr with changeable lenses and where to find them let me know as well also sorry for punctuation i'm on my ipad
Why won't my nikon d3000 focus on autofocus?
Its not even a year old
i've never dropped it
i'm using the lens that it came with from the box
it works fine on manual focus but when i switch to auto focus itll focus in and out but the shutter won't snap.
its not too dark because i'm always in a well lit room
i've tried cleaning the connections on the lens and body,
the lens itself is clean
the lens and body are both set on autofocus
i have no idea what's going on.
sometimes itll be fine then right in the middle of shooting itll start doing it and sometimes itll be it right from the moment i turn it on and sometimes not at all
I have a Nikon Digital Camera D3000 and a AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G lens, and I want to do a photoshoot by a motel. The only light I want to use is from the motel signs/lights. What settings would I have to use to take good lighting photos without flash? I try many different settings but if there ever is a good one it comes out blurry because the shutter takes too long. Any ideas?

Beach Photography with a manual focus lens?
I'm going to get a 50mm 1.8 nikkor lens for portraits (but i figure i could use it for other things). The manual focus is 100 bucks cheaper than the AF-S.
So my question is, can you capture pictures of waves with manual focus? Does it just take practice? It seems somewhat difficult…
The reason i want a low light lens for the beach is for sunset/sunrise.
What lens is best for beach photography? I'm jsut talking about general pictures taken from the shore (not like from inside of a wave).

Will my camera be okay in the rainforest?
I have a Nikon D40X with a standard Nikon 18-55mm lens and two Sigma lenses (telephoto and a macro). I'm going to the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador for 3 weeks and we have been told "nothing will dry, bring dry bags, you'll be damp all the time", that sort of thing. Will the dampness get into my camera or lenses? Should I take precautions? I'll obviously have cases for them all but I'll probably have them out for long periods of time. I'll try to take at least two of my lenses.

I use a Nikon D3100 with a 18-55 AF VR lens… Suddenly I find a slight shadow appearing in the AF lamp's light when I project the light on a nearby wall. Please do tell me what exactly is the problem and what is the solution.
