What Nikon lens can I get to have this kind of focus?

I've got a macro Lensbaby and the standard lens that comes with a Nikon D3000, but I'd like to obtain this look with some of my photos:
What Nikon lens can I get to have this kind of focus

And with my lenses, you have to get really close for that, and even then it's nowhere near as soft. But then again, I could just be being a noob. Please inform me. XD

Does a camera lens hood really make a difference?

I'm debating if i should invest in one or not.

the type of photography i do is both in and outdoors. I don't do people, just objects/nature. I prefer to do close ups of things, because it's easier for me to have a focus subject that way.

should i buy one? I have a nikon d5100

Looking for new DLSR?

I'm looking to a new DSLR camera. Now between the Canon T4i and the Nikon D3200. Yeah yeah, canon has only 18MP when the Nikon has 24, but there's so much more than that when it comes to photography. Please help. I'm an experienced photographer. Serious responses only please. Just need some expert opinions from others without bias from either make.

Added (1). I'm currently on a NEX-7 set-up coupled with multiple interchangeable Alpha lens. Mostly for portraiture and on the go. I'm more of a freelance.whenever the opportunity presents itself, i whip out the camera and take the shot. But needing to go to full bodied slr and am stuck on these two at the moment.

DSLR camera or a Camcorder?

I saw a Nikon D5100, it can shoot 1080P video. I also see some digital camcorders. They can also shoot full 1080P video. And i'm sure most camcorders have a buttonor a feature that can take a snapshot. They both seem like that can take pics and videos. So should i get a camera or a camcorder?

Will this lens fit on my Nikon D3000?

I know the D3000 doesn't have AF with some of the lenses. Will I have to manually focus this? If so, is it hard at all? I know you have to turn the focus ring on the lens. But before I buy this I want to make sure that it will fit with the D3000
