Low light concert] on d5100 18 55mm?
I need some tips. Some friends of mine are playing in a small venue in a few days and since I like photography and have some basic knowledge they asked me if I could take some pictures of them while they are playing. I love concert photography but I've never tried it. I will be able to be on stage and near the musicians so the zoom won't be a problem. Could you recommend some settings? I've got a nikon d5100 with the kit lens (18 55mm). They said they didn't need perfect or super profesional photos so they don't care if I mess up, they just want some decent ones.

I'm starting to work on my Macro Photography more and more, and now instead of using my phone I'm going to start to use my camera again like I used to. Getting in to the close ups are a little confusing with my lenses though. There for, here I'm.
My setup is a Nikon D70.
Af-s nikkor 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED DX
Af nikkor 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 D ED
Ex sigma 70-200mmD 1:2.8 apo dg hsm
Nikon speedlight sb-600
Hb-15
Hb-32
I'm assuming the second lense is my best bet for what I want to do, but I got this feeling it's not what I really need though. Any advice and tips? I was hoping I had what I needed so I didn't have to spend all my money again haha. This camera was for what I used to do.

How to transfer pictures to my mac as I take them using a USB wire?
I'm trying to set up a green screen photo booth, and I want to be able to take pictures as my camera is plugged into my MacBook Pro, and be able to take pictures. This way I can edit and show them, without having to plug/unplug my camera every time. I have a MacBook Pro Mountain Lion and a Nikon D40. Can anyone help me?

Is the Nikon D3100 going to be on sale on Black Friday? - 1
How much would it be? Because I saw from BestBuy website, its regular price is $549.99 and it's on sale $449.99
I was just wondering how much would it be on Black Friday.

MY NIKON D3100 ISN'T WORKING! QUICKLY
We have this activities week at school this week and tomorrow (Friday) we have this photography day, I knew that we had this so I put the battery from my dslr (nikon d3100) in charge from sunday. A blinking light indicates that it's charging and a sold light indicates that it's done charging. Well, today (thursday) I went to check on it and it still has a blinking light! I thought that it would be charged (but not fully) but it would still work so I took it out, put it into my camera and when I tried to turn my camera on it wouldn't turn on! Just nothing! It was working fine before I put the batteyr in charge and even when I charged it before it still worked but now it doesn't and I need it for tomorrow! I've only had this camera for around a year and it's annoying because I saved up pocket money to buy it and now I can't even use it anymore or even use it for tomorrow!
Please help.
Added (1). To Photofox~ The charger indicated that it was still charging and so it hadn't finished charging… So that's why I didn't take it out I thought that it would eventually fully charge

Things to check after receiving a refurbished DSLR camera?

Can you use Nikon D3100 for live streaming using Wirecast?
I've tried plugging an HDMI cable from the DSLR to the Laptop but nothing happens:|

I'm a beginner. For a Nikon d5100 which is the best best lens for a beginner to shoot wedding photography? Fstoppers suggests only f2.8 lens like 24-70mm and 70-200mm. I'm interested only in wedding photography and not in any other types like macro or food. Help me how can I learn which is the suitable lens for me to learn and how will I be able to come to a conclusions to buy the correct lens!

Recently god a Nikon D3200 and I for the life of me can't open. RAW files in photoshop and I seem to can't find anything regarding how to open them. I changed the quality from Jpeg to Raw because of jpegs being compressed and usually looking fuzzy. Can anyone help me out here? How can I open these?
Added (1). Windows photo viewer will not open the raw files. I use Windows 7 x64
Added (2). I want to be able to edit them in photoshop as I'm pretty good with the program and know it fairly well. I don't want to have use another photo viewer to edit my pictures because photoshop is of course the best. If there's a way to convert them into png without losing quality, that would be awesome.

Hi, I have a Nikon d3100 that I recently got. I do not know much about cameras but when I make videos on it, there's seem to be a problem when I upload the video to my computer. On the video itself, it seems like it is kind of changing colors subtly, like a slight tint of different colors. This doesn't happen if I watch the clip on the camera itself, only when I upload it. I'm attaching a link to one of my videos I made after I posted it on YouTube.(Please don't make fun, it's just a stupid English project I had to do
lol) Thanks!
