Can you use Nikon D3100 for live streaming using Wirecast?
I've tried plugging an HDMI cable from the DSLR to the Laptop but nothing happens:|
That's right, nothing happens.
It's called tethering and only a very few, select consumer level cameras are capable of tethering and then it's normally only for still shots showing up on the computer screen right after they're shot.
It also takes special tethering software for the computer and firmware in the camera so they can "talk".
It's not something you just do because you think it's cool… You need special tools to make it happen.
Its always possible with a Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini Recorder
