Camera help - buying a new one?

I want to buy a new camera since my old broke - it was a Nikon S 3000 I believe? Anyways - I don't have a clue on want camera to get, so I need help. I mainly use my camera for concerts. And I need a camera that has:

- Great/far zoom - I love close-ups.
- In close-ups, focuses on the face, not background.
- Good filming quality - nice sounds and visuals (not blurry, etc).
- Easy to use, not so complicated

My friend suggested a Powershot by Canon, but then she told me that when you zoom for a close-up, it focuses more on the background? So I'm not too sure.

Do you know a possible camera that fits all these?

How to change how videos upload?

Please help. I have Nikon camera that takes videos. When I upload my memory card my videos upload through Quicktime. Quicktime uploads my video using.mov format. I want to be able to watch my videos through Windows and burn them but I can't. It can't recognize.mov.
I do not like quicktime.
I've changed my default player but how do I change how and where it uploads.
I'm not very good with computers and this is frustrating me.

Is there a Nikon DSLR with comparable HD Video quality, and price, to the Canon T3i?

I would just go ahead and buy the T3i but I have extra lenses from an older Nikon DSLR that would be very useful for videos and would save me money in the end.
