What is a really good high quality camera?

I really want a good quality camera (preferably cannon or Nikon doesn't have to be) that takes good quality pictures and videos (no blurriness). I might be going to Disneyland soon and I really want a camera to capture the memories. Any suggestions?

What is M250 shutter speed?

On my film Nikon FA, it has a shutter setting that is battery independent called M250 (also has Bulb). I assume it stands for mechanical 250 shutter speed but what actually is it in terms of shutter speed?

I'm considering getting one, but I'm not totally sure. I'm fifteen so I've only dealt with my phone & cheap digital cameras. Would this be a good starter/is it worth it?
