Lately I've been really into photography and I wanted to get a Canon Rebel t3i. But DSLR cameras are way to expensive for me right now. Since I have hardly any experience in photography, I figured it'd be ok to settle for a simple point and shoot camera for now to see if my photography is any good in the first place. I looked into cameras that are around $200 or less. I've been looking at a Canon SX150.Is it any good? Do you have any suggestions of really good quality point and shoot cameras? Not too expensive, but not too cheap. Canon or Nikon; either one is fine.

I decided to do a video with me and friends and I looked HORRIBLE! My face looked washed out, my nose looked bigger than what it is, my eyes appear smaller and I look 10X my age. Is this how I really look? I look BAD in certain lighting, but all my friends appear the same. I DO NOT like what I see, and now my self-esteem is SHOT! Please Help! Guys don't really approach me in real life and one girl called me ugly before, I came to the realization that maybe I'm. I'm underweight though, and I think on video it just makes me look MORE sickly than what I look like in real life.

I was looking at the Nikon J1 and V1 but they have bad low light quality.
Previously, I was recommended a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H55, bought it 2 years ago, and absolutely hate it. It's only good for day time pictures, and the recorded sound is glitchy 95% of the time.
Now I'm looking for a mirrorless model.
