What are the best SLR Cameras for low light and journalism?

I have a Canon xsi and I've had it for 3 years not. I love it but it's time for an upgrade. I run my own business and I recently got a gig with the local news paper shooting photography and I wanted to know what you guys think is the best camera (nikon or canon) that is great in low light. My budget is $1500.

A Canon T3i DSLR or a $500 camcorder, which is better for video?

I have heard a lot of great things about the T3i for shooting video, especially when compared to camcorders of a similar price range (~$500-600). Especially in regards to image quality and video and audio flexibility.

What is your impression? Is there a decent camcorder in that price range (or less) which is better for shooting video than the T3i?

Mind you, I mean BETTER, not "EASIER". I know the camcorders are more compact and more automated. I want something to create BETTER video, without getting into a semi-pro video camera (which costs MUCH more).

I want to separate the hype from the facts.

Also, if you know of a better DSLR for video than the T3i, also in the sub-$1000 market, say by Nikon or whatever, please feel free to recommend that, too.

Is a repurchase possible?

Last month, I purchased my Nikon from Sam's Club for $749, but I have recently found out that the camera's price is lowered to $699. I know it would really save me about $50 if I return it and buy it again, but do you think it's possible? If so, how do I go about doing it?

NIKON vs CANNON and what MODEL?

I know that there are decent cannon and nikon camera that take pictures and video, but which is the better brand AND model for a novice photographer / filmographer for a musical group. Would be taking pictures for flyers and website, shooting video for interviews, music videos, and web eisodes. Please respond with brand and model of your preference.

Photography photo shoot?

Okay, well I'm taking a photography class in school. For our semester project we're suppose to take 10 pictures that create a story/depict a story. I'm just stuck and I don't know what to do!
For example: Baking a cake, getting ready for a dance, having a board game night
But I want to be creative with my pictures and not do something original. So any ideas?

I will be using FM2 Nikon Cameras (Older Cameras that use film spools, etc)

I'm new to selling on eBay, previously just been a buyer. I understand how it works but I'm just worried that no one will buy from me because of no indication of feedback. Can I get a Leica adaptor?

I just bought my boyfriend the Leica 4R body for christmas. I know that Leica lenses are just as pricey as the cameras, so I was wondering where I could find an adaptor from the Leica to any lens in the nikon/cannon family. I already have another lens that I can use, I just need the adaptor!

How long does it take for a Target order?

I ordered an Ipod touch, 2 cameras. (Nikon and one Canon) and a 83 makeup piece set. I ordered it on the 11/22 but how long does it take for it to come? I tracked my order and it's only half way, so how long do you think it might take?
