How does the M (Typ 240) compare with Canon 5D MKIII / Nikon 800E?
The longer i'm waiting for the M(TYP 240), the more I hestiate to cancel my preorder. I use to use a Fuji X100, which was recently stolen. So I will need a digital camera of some sort to supplement my film stuff. I know this is extremely self-indulgent, and it is a serious case of G. A.S. For me, It is about finding the right digital camera for me.
For the same price of a M240, I can get a Canon and Nikon with all the lenses i would use for it - with change to spare. On the other hand, I have lenses that I really enjoy using on my M3. (50mm planar, 21, color-skopar, 90mm elmarit (FAT), 135 elemarit Canada)
I occasionally shoot landscapes and urban landscapes (usually with a 4x5). Street / documentary / reportage (what ever you want to call it) with a hasselblad 500C or M3 (depends on my mood) I've been doing more environmental portraits lately with the hasselblad. I occasionally do some work in the studio, but only a few times a year. I also do occasional events (weddings as a third shooter, neighbourhood block parties, etc etc)
I do a bit of everything - and it is all for fun and not commercial.

Added (1). I just finished school actually and i want to work with camera stuff… I know about other cameras like pentax so you can also suggest one other than these two options.
Your suggestions for Bokeh on a budget?
I currently have a nikon 50mm f1.8d, 35mm f1.8g and the 18-55mm kit lens.
I'm selling the fifty due to its softness at wide open. What would you recommend for a good lens with pleasing bokeh. The 35mm has terrible bokeh. I'm considering the 85mm f1.8g which is very sharp but the bokeh is ot perfect. The 85mm 1.4g has perfect bokeh but is too expensive. My upper price limit is 500 usd.

Infrared photography with Canon 60D? - 1
What are the ideal settings on a 60D for IR photography? I have a 720nm filter. Mostly concerned about white balance settings, as well as photoshop processing. I'd prefer personal testimonial and not links. Most links use nikons. Don't be like the last guy and tell me I can't "truly" do it without modification. Just want to know what my photos should look like before processing. Thanks

Can I use my nikon j1 lenses on the nikon j3?
I'm looking into the nikon j3 and I was wondering if I could use my current j1 lenses on the j3.
So, I just got the 55mm - 200mm lenses and I was wondering what they are good for, I do know that they don't really work well in low light situations but it's good for outdoors.
I was just wondering what I could use them for!
I'm still learning more about photography and I'm not sure what kind of photography I want to do yet, but it's somewhere in between portraits and street photography.
Just a little info about what I can do with this lens would be wonderful!
Japan a rich industrialized country thanks to America?
During WW2 Japan was a very ultra nationalistic country that seeked expansion into Asia. Japanese wanted to conquer China and enslave its 800 million people. Kinda like how the Germans wanted to conquer Russia and enslave its people. But anyways after the US dropped the A-Bomb on Japan to save the world from their evil govt the Americans also helped to rebuilt the country and helped to make it a very industrialized capitalist country. Look at Japan now! They have electronic companies like Sony, Shorp, Toshiba, Canon, Nikon etc. They also have one of the largest auto industry in the world with companies like Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi etc. All thanks to US.
So shouldn't the Japanese be our allies and thank us? Why are they so anti american?
