Nikon 55 - 200mm lens?
So, I just got the 55mm - 200mm lenses and I was wondering what they are good for, I do know that they don't really work well in low light situations but it's good for outdoors.
I was just wondering what I could use them for!
I'm still learning more about photography and I'm not sure what kind of photography I want to do yet, but it's somewhere in between portraits and street photography.
Just a little info about what I can do with this lens would be wonderful!
Buying a lens without knowing how to use is could be a waste of money
Have you put the lens on your camera and looked through it? If so, you would have noticed that it has more "reach" than your other lens, so you can shoot things like field sports, action shots at the skateboard park or motocross track. You can even photograph some wildlife
In the future before you buy another lens, do some independent research and see how they are used to photograph specific subjects
Here is a link that will show you how different focal length lenses "see" things

You have examples of urban, rural and landscape photography
You can do allot of stuff with this kind of focal, even if it's not a fast lens you can use it for different type of photography: street photography - portrait - landscape - sport - still lifeā¦
Here's some example.
