My Nikon COPLEX won't turn on after charge inch it for 2 hours?

I got my nikon camera 2 years ago for Christmas. It worked for a long time and then I lost the charger. Recently I found my charger and I went to charge it. I plugged it into the wall and the camera. The little green flashing light came on that shows that it's charging. It would flash for about 30 seconds and then the light would turn off. Then I tried turning it on and it didn't do anything! I was wondering if I need to get a new battery pack? It doesn't take batteries like AA or AAA it has a little rectangle battery pack. What's wrong with my camera?!

Is Magic Lantern harmful for the dslr?

It is for Videos (in low light especially) [ I don't like the camcorder video quality ]
Will a canon 600d with magic lantern work properly? The ML website says that it can destroy the camera. Is it really harmful?
Else I have to go with the nikon d5200 because it performs better.

What is the differences between Nikon lens 18 x 300 and 28 x 300?

My fathers birthday is coming up and be really loves taking pictures and Photoshop and stuff. I always love to surprise my family and friends with there birthday gifts so I asked my mother what she thinks would be a good idea. She said he wants a new lens for his Nikon camera. Either the 18 x 300 or the 28 x 300. He is unsure of which he wants.

So I would like to know what the differences between the two lenses are. I mean there's only a a little differences between the size, one 18 the other 28 so what can one do that the other can't and so on like that.
And because I seem to be a little tight for cash at the moment sadly if anyone knows a good price and or maybe some kind of coupons for one that would be great.

I really appreciate this. I'm the most horrible researcher ever. So anything anybody knows would be a great help!

Crop factor on Nikon DX lenses?

I know that if I buy an FX/full frame lens for my Nikon DLSR with an APS-C sensor, then there's an approximately 1.5x crop factor applied, so that a 70-300MM FX lens attached to a DSLR would actually have a zoom range equivalent to about 105-450mm.

However, if I buy a 70-300mm DX format lens, which are specificly made for APS-C cameras, does the crop factor still apply (thus still producing a 105-450mm range), or is it a true 70-300mm?

Can My Nikon Take Video?

I have a Nikon DX SWM ED Aspherical and my dad says that it can't take video. I was playing around with it today and found 'video mode' which has the obvious PAL and NTSC but, if the camera can't shoot video, why does it have a video mode?
