Can My Nikon Take Video?
I have a Nikon DX SWM ED Aspherical and my dad says that it can't take video. I was playing around with it today and found 'video mode' which has the obvious PAL and NTSC but, if the camera can't shoot video, why does it have a video mode?
"Nikon" is the manufacturer; "DX SWM ED Aspherical" is the lens. You did not tell us the model of the Nikon camera so there's no way to know for sure - If it is a couple of years old, it is possible that the dSLR you have does not capture video - the NTSC or PAL video mode menu option is used to select the TV it is connected to when "playing back" the digital still images it has captured… And it is not used for video capture.
