What Nikon camera and lenses will be good for newborn photography?
I'm not a professional just a regular person with a little experience in photography. I'm interested in newborn and family photography for a side thing. Photography has always been a passion of mine. I learned to shoot on a Nikon and I'm interested in finding out what are some good lenses to capture the small details. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money as I'm just learning and beginning.
Would a D5200 be sufficient? And what lenses?
Should I purchase a 18-55mm or 55-250mm lens?
I have just purchased a Canon 7D after selling a entry-level Nikon and need to purchase a lens which will be primarily used during an overseas trip to Europe. Due to my limited budget I'm currently looking at the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II or Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS II Telephoto Lens.
I know the benefits/advantages of both but was more asking based on others experiences to see which lens you personally found more useful or of better quality.
Confused between 35mm vs 50mm prime?
I'm confused between buying a 35mm prime and 50mm prime for my new DSLR Nikon D5300.
I know the difference between these lenses. 50 mm will act like a 75mm which is perfect for close up or half body portraits. I'm aware that on my system the 35mm will act nearly as a 50mm lens, which is a standard lens and close to what human eye sees.
But I'm confused that which lens will I be needing more in my daily life. I will do portraits but groupies or street photographs as well.
Needless to say that I have 2 zoom lenses 18-55 & 55-200 which will cover all my needs, but I want one prime lens which will provide superior pics to zoom lenses.
Being a newbie to DSLR I know that I won't be shooting models most of the time, rather I will be shooting my friends and colleagues more. But it is also true to create an impression and attract models one need to capture good portraits.
Reading all these please suggest me which prime lens should I go for and why.
P.S.: I need to buy it urgently.
I put BRAND NEW kodak batteries into my Nikon, and they don't work. I set it to alkaline like it says and everything. They are even meant for cameras!
A quality Nikon camera under $300?
So I saw I was really interested in doing photography lately on my iPhone 5s and I wanted to do something more practical than taking them on a phone. I was looking at Nikon cameras which I prefer over any other, I also want really nice HD pics with lots of cool filters and effects, I'm not crazy about having the best zoom in the world but quality zoom is preferred, and I want one with lots of space for pics AND video. I do want one preferably under $300 and over $270 is a bit much for the budget I have but please help I don't have experience with cameras
Good cheap cameras to record?

How to film from my Nikon but show up on my Macbook Pro?
I want to film a video for my YouTube channel but I want to be able to see what I'm filming, whether the camera is focused or not and whether it's in a good position for the lighting to be good. I want to know if there's some way I can hook it up to my MacBook Pro so that I can see what's filming on my Mac without having to use mirrors to see what's on the camera. Is there a special lead I need to get or is it something I have to do in Final Cut Pro X? Cheers.
Added (1). It's a Nikon D3300 and a Macbook Pro.
