I want one with optimal zoom(24 -30) view finder.anti shake and rapid secessions taking. Other then that.I'm at a loss.look at Cannons, Fuji, and Nikon.wish I had more to spend. But I don't. Thanks for your help. I'm just confused on what's a good basic zoom lens digital camera. Would enjoy your view and what you'd buy.

Your budget should get you a quite nice camera. Take a look at the Nikon Coolpix S9100.
