My gramma is going to get me a camera but it has to be under $100. Any suggestions?

I want a really professional camera. Not for a neck accessory! Something really powerful and that produces exquisite results! As powerful as $100 can get atleast. I've recently started to gotten interested in photography! Also tips on how to get great results are appreciated as well!

"I want a really professional camera"

If you think that a professional camera costs around $100, you may not have spent much time visiting the Nikon, Pentax and Canon websites.

A full frame "professional" level camera costs from $2,800 to $6,300 for just the body. You also will need to purchase at least one lens.

A APS-C sensored (cropped sensor) costs around $2,000 for just the body. When you add the battery grip, second battery, XQD card and reader, that can raise the price to over $2,700.

I do not know what you mean by a "professional" camera, but those are the most commonly use pro cameras. Of course the price can go up from there. A medium format camera like the Phase One XF with IQ 250 digital back and single lens can cost close to $40,000

My guess is that you have yet to discover what a pro camera compares to entry level digital SLR cameras which have the same controls, but cost under $450 with a lens.

Do your research on the three above mentioned websites and then visit DP Review and spend some time reading the professional reviews of some of the fully adjustable cameras you find there.

By the time you have done this research, you should have a much better idea of what it costs to buy cameras and lenses and some of the proper terms used to describe cameras (entry level, enthusiast, pro, etc) Professional level cameras cost thousands of dollars. Good cameras cost at least a thousand dollars. Decent cameras cost 4 to 5 hundred. OK cameras cost a couple hundred. For under $100 you will be getting a very cheap camera that will be worse than a modern cellphone camera. Exquisite depends on you. The camera is only a tool. Your budget is too low for powerful. Here's the best that I found though.

At least, it's a good brand that should last long, is easy to use and comes with a good mix of features. Haha…

"under $100"

haha

What cave have you been living in for the past 10 years? Either you, or your "gramma", or both of you, are totally clueless about what cameras like you want cost.
