Here is a used list from BH. You can also search KEH, their prices are typically lower. A 35mm SLR is certainly a worthwhile route to take, film is still a wonderful medium and it will slow you down and force you to think about every shot, … Because every shot costs you money!

The one large caveat with film now a days, however, is where you get the film processed. Do NOT take and trust your film to such absurd places as Walmart. Use a REAL, PRO lab for your processing. Also, most printing is now done digitally, meaning the print is made from a scan of the film negative. There are still some labs that print optically, but a QUALITY scan and a laser printer exposing true photo paper is pretty hard to beat. If you are planning to get scans done at time of film processing, again, you need to use a lab that is going to give you proper, high resolution scans. North Coast Photographic is one of the best labs for film processing and quality scans.

Home scanning is another option, but again, your results are no better than the scanner used.

ADD: I'm NOT associated with North Coast Lab, I'm simply a happy customer.
