Entry-level DSLR: Canon Rebel T3 or Nikon D3100?
I'm trying to decide what camera to buy for my first DSLR. My budget is ~$600 for a kit that includes a lens also. I've narrowed it down to the Canon Rebel T3 and the Nikon D3100. Any suggestions or feedback?

Nikon D3100: I can't find my video files
Okay so I bought the camera today and took some pictures and videos, after importing into the computer, I realized that the video files were no where to be found! Although still on the camera, they just vanished after importing. I really need to be able to edit video in Windows Movie Maker, but I first need to figure out where the clips went! I don't want to take my camera back because I love it but I need to be able to edit and create movies. Please help but understand I don't know a lot about any technical stuff so please be specific yet simple.

What should I consider when purchasing a flash for my Nikon D7000?
I'm a really bad shopper (I over think everything) so if someone could help me narrow down how I know how well a flash will work for my camera or if someone could suggest one based on their experience, please help. I will be using it for portraits, family gatherings, baptisms, etc. I'm trying to find the best bang for my buck, also. So that might be a consideration.

How much should i sell my Nikon d40 for? - 1
I bought my camera i few years ago, and now i want to upgrade. It is in great condition, clean the lens and it would look brand new.
i bought it for $612
i also have two batteries, charger, 18mm-55mm lens and two memory cards
Added (1). I'm saving up for a Nikon d3100 actually, I'm very close. And a friend from school asked if he could buy my camera from me if i didn't want it.
originally i was going to keep both, but when he asked me about it i thought, why not sell my d40?

Which companies provide the best memory card compatable with a Nikon d7000?
So I'm about to buy a Nikon d7000 and would like to know which memory card(s) would work best with the Nikon d7000.
I plan to use the continuous mode often, and maybe some short HD videos, so I understand that I would need probably an SDHC class 6 memory card (minimum) for the above applications. I'm just not sure which memory card to get - If it is SanDisk, Panasonic, Lexar, etc?
If you have any suggestions, or comments, to offer, I would love to hear them.

How much could I sell my camera for?
Back in August of 2009 I brought a Nikon D5000 that came with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G lens (that standard lens that comes with the pack.) It has gone though quite a bit of use, but, its still in pretty good condition. Does anybody know how much I can sell it for? (I brought it for about $900 dollars, so I wouldn't think of selling about that price range.)
All help is appreciated.thanks.
Added (1). I still have the box, and all of the accessories that came with it too.

I want to buy a lens for my Nikon D40x. I'm currently using the kit lens (55-200mm).
I have shortlisted the following two lenses -
1. 55-200 mm
2. 55-300mm
Both are by Nikon.
Please tell me which one is better, and also if there's some other lens, better than this one, in the same price range as these lenses.
these are my pics, if you would like to see what kind of work i'm interested in.

Which Nikon lenses should I have?
I have got a Nikon D90 camera body and I'm pretty happy with it right now and am not looking to upgrade.
I also have 4 lenses:
Nikon 18-200mm f3.5-f5.6 VR lens
Nikon 10.5mm f2.8 fisheye lens
Nikon 105mm f2.8 macro VR lens
Nikon 50mm f1.8 standard lens
I'm fairly happy with my lenses, but I can't decide whether I need to swap my 18-200mm for an 18-55mm and a 70-300mm.
I would love to shoot more wildlife and find my 18-200mm isn't brilliant when I want to get close ups from a distance.
Do I have the right collection of lenses? Perhaps I don't need to change anything?
