Nikon D3100: I can't find my video files
Okay so I bought the camera today and took some pictures and videos, after importing into the computer, I realized that the video files were no where to be found! Although still on the camera, they just vanished after importing. I really need to be able to edit video in Windows Movie Maker, but I first need to figure out where the clips went! I don't want to take my camera back because I love it but I need to be able to edit and create movies. Please help but understand I don't know a lot about any technical stuff so please be specific yet simple.

Most of us regulars here use and recommend usb card readers for upload. Then you can
copy / paste all your files to the folder of your choice.
RR - Me again. Did you find your files? Uploaders usually put them in folders in either Videos, Pictures or Documents. Look for a folder with the word "Nikon" in it or do a search for the word "Nikon". Don't worry. This is all part of learning to use your new camera. Soon you'll feel comfortable with it and all this pain and anxiety will be distant memory.
