How to focus my Nikon d3100? - 2

I'm trying to film a video of myself showing objects. But every time I hold an object up to the camera it doesn't focus on it, how do I focus objects to the camera not manually?

What is the next lens I should buy?

I want a new lens, and I was wondering what would be a logical next step. Here's my kit so far:
-Nikon D3000 body w/18-55mm kit lens
-55-200mm Nikkor AF-S zoom lens
-50mm Nikkor 1.8G AF-S lens (primarily used on my D90-S film camera, but it fits the d3000 as well)

So, what lens should I buy next?

Why do my photos have a green tint when I upload them?

Sometimes when I resize images and upload them, the uploaded image has a greenish hue. I've noticed this happening when I edit them in Aperture (I usually just edit them in iPhoto because of this) and more recently with my new camera. I recently got rid of my old Canon T3 which didn't seem to have this problem. Now I have a Nikon D5100 and it seems like this is happening all the time. When I upload images to Blogger, the images have a green tint in smaller sizes, but when I make them larger, the problem goes away. Uploaded to foodgawker.com, I can't find any way to get rid of the problem. I've tried using Safari instead of Firefox and I've also tried assigning different color profiles (adobeRGB, sRGB, etc.). I'm out of ideas, so any suggestions would be awesome.

I LOVE photography. I have an Olympus SP-610uz bridge camera right now. I found 3 DSLR cameras on craigslist all under $400. I was just wondering how they compare to my current camera.

Nikon D3000 w/ Nikkor 18-55mm lens - $325
NIKON D60 DSLR - $300
Nikon D40 DSLR with a 18-55mm VR lens - $250
And then my Olympus SP-610uz camera.

Which one has the best quality, and which is the best deal?

Added (1). Jim A, I wouldn't buy any equipment before getting the full information on it and checking it out. If it needs anything replaced, if something isn't working correctly, if it's dirty, or broken, that kind of thing. But thanks for the advice.

What Program can I use to take photos with my Nikon D3100 camera on the computer?

I'm working on some stop frame animation projects and I want to have a program or a way to take a photo from the computer without having to press the button on the camera and risk moving it even just a bit.

It would be nice if the photo transferred to the computer as well, but that isn't necessary.

I have a Nikon D3100 camera and Windows 7 on my laptop.

Added (1). I do have a USB cord connected from the camera to the computer and the computer recognizes it, and I access the Photos on the SD card in the camera, but I have no way of controlling the camera, or taking a picture from the computer itself.

Can I use NIkon D5100 camera to shoot a short movie?

So I'm in this project and I recently bought this camera during the summer and I have to make this short movie around 20 minutes or something and I was wondering if this will help me out… I'm not a professional when it comes to this at all. I was looking for a video camera but they are really expensive hence i want it in HD. I was also wondering if i could record a video or a short movie that is acceptable with this camera how can i record the voices clear?

I just asked one of my friends and he told me that my macbook which is the white on the second edition is not going to be enough for this application called Final Cut Pro and with the movies getting on to it. It will not bee good at all… Any thoughts about it?
