Shutter count on a used camera?
Found a very reliable seller on Amazon. They are selling a Nikon D3000 for $350.okay, my question is, the shutter count is 761.Im planning on having this camera for 2-3 years, as I'm still a beginner. What's the maximum count for a camera of this quality? Its not the best camera, i know. I'm only 14 and this is coming out of my own wallet so I can't spend too much. I love this camera, i tried it at a bestbuy but its almost 300$ more there. I would really like to buy this one.

What are the best settings for my DSLR when taking photos at a concert?
My first ever question. I have recently gotten a nikon D3000 and am using it mostly to take pictures at concerts and shows. Almost all the venues are indoors, dark, with stage lighting out to the crowd. Right now I just use it on the no flash/auto setting because it does some work for you, but I know I can get better photos if i manually adjust the settings. My question is what settings should I set to take good quality pics with my DSLR? I can't use a flash and want to get the highest quality finished product. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the t4i have selective color effect mode?
The Nikon D5100 has this mode, and I was wondering if the t4i has it also.
(Selective color effect mode is where you have one color appear, for example red, and anything else that is not red is gray)

What settings should I have my DSLR for very low light?
I have a Nikon D5100 with a nifty fifty… So, long story short, my friends want me to bring my camera to "document" us going to an abandon, haunted school. We drove to the start of the trail (we have to walk about a mile to get to it) in the day time, and there were no street lights and a bunch of trees would prob block the moonlight. So, I'm guessing I should get one of those lights camcorders use (my friends are also brining flashlights), the inexpensive ones since I'm only going up there once.SO, IF I GET A LIGHT FOR THIS VERY LOW LIGHT SETTING, WHAT SHOULD MY SHUTTER SPEED, APERTURE ISO AND All OF THAT GOOD STUFF BE?

Thinking about selling my Nikon D3000?
I have had my Nikon D3000 for almost 2 years, and I love it, but I would really like to upgrade to a DSLR camera that shoots video as well.
I own the D3000 body as well as a Tamron 18-200mm lens and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens, and I was curious as to whether I should just sell the body or sell one/both of the lenses as well (My camera came with a kit lens, but it was a dud when we got it, so I've just used the Tamron and Nikkor since then)?
I'm also not sure what camera I should upgrade to. I was thinking about the D5100, but the D3100 is also an option. Any suggestions?
10 points best answer!

I want to shoot "anamorphic" effect but the camera doesn't have that resolution, so what I have left to do is to crop the footage. But is there any "safezone"/"safearea" feature in that camera? So I would know what is going to be in frame easly

What's the difference between Nikon D7000 and Nikon D5000?
Is there really much difference? I'm not a camera fanatic. But I want to get a nice one. I'm stuck between these two.

Are refurbished DSLR cameras also actusation-free like the brand new DSLRs?
